Veteran actress Vadivukkarasi lastly graced the silver screens in a supporting role in the action movie Idli Kadai scripted and headlined by Dhanush with actors Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. The Garudan actress will soon begin to shoot for her next entertainer titled Granny in which she will be playing the lead. Story teller Vijayakumaaran, who previously crafted the fantasy film Brahma.com, has inked the script and will be directing the film. Writer Ku Karthik has written dialogues and lyrics for the flick.
Comedy actor Singampuli will be seen in a crucial role in the drama. The project recently went on floors with a small pooja ceremony in Chennai. The production house has now launched the first look poster of the movie on social media. Actor Vijay Sethupathi has released the first look poster.

Granny Poster
The first look poster of Granny has veteran actress Vadivukkarasi as an aged woman carrying a lantern lamp in the dark with a double exposure image of two children within her, who are walking in what appears to be a dense forest. The film has an interesting tagline, ‘Immortal danger.’
Granny is touted to be a horror thriller that revolves around an immortal Granny and two children. It also includes fantasy elements like the director’s debut project. The makers are planning to wrap the shoot for the venture by the end of summer. As they are eyeing for release in July.
Apart from Vadivukkarasi and Singampuli, the casting crew of the entertainer also has actors Gajaraja, Dhileepan, G V Aparna, Ananth Nag, Tiger Thangadurai, Muruganatham, Namo Narayanan, and Lollu Sabha Maran depicting various supporting roles. Music director Chelliah Pandiyan has been hired to take care of the musical division of the movie. Cinematographer A Manikandan has been contracted to work on the cinematography department of the drama.
Editor M S Gopi has been brought on board to bring coherence to the venture. Art director P B K Mahendran will be designing sets for the flick. Stunt director Action Prakash will be choreographing action blocks for the drama. The movie is bankrolled by Vijaya Mary in affiliation with I Saravanan under the production house Vijaya Mary Universal Media.
