Vijay Sethupathi Visits Vetrimaaran and Silambarasan’s Arasan Shooting Spot!

Actor Silambarasan TR was last seen on screens in the gangster action-drama Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam with actors Kamal Haasan and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu actor is now busy shooting for yet another gangster movie titled Arasan. Auteur Vetrimaaran has written the story and is helming the venture in his maiden collaboration with Silambarasan. 

Actress Yogalakshmi of Tourist Family fame is said to have been paired against actor Silambarasan TR in the entertainer. The shoot for the film is presently underway in Kovilpatti. We now have news that actor Vijay Sethupathi recently visited the sets of Arasan. Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu himself has announced the news on social media.  

Taking to his official X account, producer Kalaippuli S Thanu dropped a snap from the shooting spot of Arasan and captioned it, “Vijay Sethupathi graced the shooting spot of Arasan and shared a memorable moment with director Vetrimaaran and Silambarasan. Vetrimaaran, Silambarasan TR, Vijay Sethupathi, Anirudh Ravichander, Silambarasan TR, ARASAN.” Here is the post made by the producer.

The pic shared by producer Kalaippuli S Thanu has cinematographer Velraj, Vijay Sethupathi, Vetrimaaran, Silambarasan, and Yogalakshmi standing on a terrace. Earlier it was rumored that actor Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a prominent role in the film. Later the team had confirmed the news to be true. It looks like the actor has begun to shoot for his part

Earlier Vetrimaaran had revealed that Arasan is set in the Vada Chennai universe. Vada Chennai characters played by actors Andrea Jeremiah as Chandra, Kishore as Senthil, and Samuthirakani as Guna will also be part of the plot. Nearly six minutes promo video from the drama was released earlier this year which had actor Silambarasan as a street-smart youngster, and went on to show him in a slightly older stage as a gruesome gangster facing trial for multiple manslaughters. 

The casting team is currently zeroing in on the rest of the cast. An official list of artists that will be part of the movie is expected to be announced soon. Music director Anirudh Ravichander has been brought on board to work on the musical division of the movie. Arasan marks his first collaboration with director Vetrimaaran. 

Cinematographer Velraj R will handle camera gears for the flick. Editor Ramar R has been signed in to chop and patch the drama. Art director Jacki will design sets for the flick. Action director Peter Hein will choreograph action moves for the venture. The film is bankrolled by Kalaippuli S Thanu under the production house V Creations.  

On the professional side, actor Silambarasan TR will soon begin to shoot for a couple of his future ventures tentatively christened STR 50 crafted by story teller Desingh Periyasamy in which he will be costarring with actresses Kriti Sanon & Rakul Preet Singh, and STR 51 helmed by director Ashwath Marimuthu of Dragon fame in which he will be romancing actress Wamiqa Gabbi

On the other hand, actor Vijay Sethupathi is anticipating a back-to-back release in Train crafted by Mysskin in which he has featured alongside actors Ira Dayanand, Narain, & Nassar, and Pisasu 2 also filmed by Mysskin in which he has shared screen space with actresses Andrea Jeremiah and Poorna. The Ace actor is currently busy shooting for his next untitled pan Indian project under the direction of Telugu director Puri Jagannadh in which he will be associating with Bollywood actress Tabu and Kannada star Duniya Vijay.
