Actor Vijay Sethupathi had his last outing in the action-comedy drama DSP which was helmed by storyteller Ponram with actress Anukreethy Vas in the female lead role. The project did not live up to the expectations of the audience, and hence fell flat in the box office. Now, the Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal actor has put that behind him, and has moved on to his next project. Web series are the most happening thing in the cinema industry right now. The Soodhu Kavvum actor has joined the party by signing to play a role in a web series in Hindi. Yes, actor Vijay Sethupathi has essayed a part in the upcoming Hindi web series titled Farzi. The series is directed by film makers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK who had previously directed the controversial web series “The Family Man.” The duo has written the series along with writers Sita R Menon and Suman Kumar. Now, we have news on the release date of the entertainer.
The production house has locked Feb 10th of this year to premier the series on Amazon Prime Video OTT platform. Actor Vijay Sethupathi has shared the news on social media. Earlier speaking about her experience on working in the series, actress Regina Cassandra said that it was fun working with actors Vijay Sethupathi and Shahid Kapoor. The actress went on record saying that it was a blessing for her to share screen space with actor Vijay Sethupathi. Actress Regina Cassandra has played the wife of actor Vijay Sethupathi in the series. Apart from actors Vijay Sethupathi, Regina Cassandra, and Shahid Kapoor, the casting department of the series has actors Kay Kay Menon, Raashi Khanna, Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Kubbra Sait in various other supporting roles. The series is produced by Krishna DK, Sunil A Lulla, Rak Nidimoru under the Banner house D2R Films Pvt Ltd along with Eros International.
On the work front, actor Vijay Sethupathi who was last seen on screens in Tamil in DSP is currently gearing up for the release of Viduthalai part one crafted by auteur Vetrimaaran in which he has shared the screen space with actor Soori. He is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Hindi movie christened Jawan scripted by director Atlee in which he will be seen alongside actors Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, for Mumbaikar filmed by Santhosh Sivan, for Gandhi Talks crafted by Kishor Pandurang Belekar, and for Merry Christmas filmed by Sriram Raghavan. Apart from these dramas, the actor has his Tamil Telugu bilingual film titled Michael helmed by Ranjit Jeyakodi in which he has co starred with actor Sundeep Kishan in the post-production stage getting refined for release.
On the other hand, actress Regina Cassandra who had her last outing in Tamil in Mughizh is currently busy shooting for her upcoming historical mystery Tamil Telugu bilingual flick christened Soorpanagai which is crafted by Caarthick Raju, for couple of her Telugu movies titled Saakini Daakini under the directorial of story teller Sudheer Varma, and for Mareechika filmed by Sathish Kasetty in which she will be collaborating with actress Anupama Parameswaran.
