Sivakarthikeyan’s Next Project Goes On The Floors!
Actor Sivakarthikeyan had his last outing in the political action film Parasakthi directed by Sudha Kongara with actors Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in the lead roles. The Manam Kothi Paravai actor recently inked his signature for his next project provisionally christened SK 27. Story teller Ramkumar Balakrishnan, who won the National Film Award for his debut movie Parking, is directing the flick. He has also conceptualized the story of the venture.
Actress Kayadu Lohar of Idhayam Murali fame will be seen in the female lead role in the flick. We now have news that the movie has gone on the floors with a small pooja ceremony in Chennai. Actor Harish Kalyan graced the pooja ceremony. The production house themselves has revealed the news on social media, along with a short clip capturing special moments from the pooja ceremony.
Taking to their official X timeline, the team of Sathya Jyothi Films shared a video of the SK 27 pooja ceremony and captioned it, “A powerful start to a promising story SK 27 begins with a pooja. On floors today. Starring Sivakarthikeyan. A film by Ramkumar Balakrishnan. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Kayadu Lohar, OM Prakash, T G Thyagarajan, Sendhil Thyagarajan, Arjun Thyagarajan, Sai Siddharth, Kalaivanan R, A Rajesh, Praveen Raja, Steven Kumar, AIM Pro, Barani Alagiri, The Mug Digital.” Here is the post made by the production unit.
The one-minute odd video of the pooja ceremony begins with a shot of the pooja setup and shows artists and stars arriving for the pooja event. We then see actor Sivakarthikeyan make his entrance along with his wife, dressed in a dhoti and a long-sleeved violet shirt. The video ends with the actor in a rugged look, wearing a black shirt and donning sterling silver ornaments, as he performs in the first shot of the movie. The first shooting schedule is set to take place for 15 days in Chennai.
Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Kayadu Lohar, the star cast of the drama also has actors VTV Ganesh, Sudhakar Jayaraman, Prithviraj, Cell Murugan, and George Maryan essaying various supporting characters. Music composer Sai Abhyankkar has been roped in to take care of the musical department of the entertainer. The drama marks the first collaboration of Sai Abhyankkar and Sivakarthikeyan.
Cinematographer OM Prakash is overseeing the cinematography division of the drama. Editor R Kalaivanan has been brought on board to chop and patch the venture. Art director A Rajesh is designing the background for the project. Stunt director Steven Kumar is choreographing action blocks in the flick. The entertainer is bankrolled by T G Thyagarajan, Sendhil Thyagarajan, and Arjun Thyagarajan under the production company Sathya Jyothi Films.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan is now busy shooting for his next venture Seyon scripted by Sivakumar Murugesan in which he will be costarring with actresses Bhagyashri Borse & Raichal Rabecca Philip, SK 28 filmed by Cibi Chakaravarthi in which he will be seen alongside actress Sreeleela, a couple of his untitled films crafted by Venkat Prabhu in which he will be collaborating with actresses Kalyani Priyadarshan & Ramya Nambeeshan, and under the directorial of story tellers Pushkar – Gayatri and Vinaya K Chandrasekaran.
On the other hand, actress Kayadu Lohar is currently engaged in her future Tamil movie Manjanathi created by Mari Selvaraj in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Kathir & Priyanka Arulmohan, a project tentatively titled Suriya 48 directed by T J Gnanavel in which she will be teaming up with actor Suriya, and a Malayalam film Thaaram helmed by Vinay Govind in which she will be joining forces with actors Nivin Pauly & Nikhila Vimal.
