Suriya’s Scene Trailer: An Eccentric Cop Runs The Show On His Own Terms!
Actor Suriya had his last outing in the romantic family film Vishwanath & Sons crafted by Venky Atluri with actress Mamitha Baiju in the female lead role. The Jai Bhim actor is now getting ready for the release of his next cop drama titled Scene. Malayalam director Jithu Madhavan, who previously delivered the blockbuster black comedy action flick Aavesham, has inked and helmed the project. Actor Dravid Selvam has written dialogue for the flick.
Actress Nazriya Nazim of Raja Rani fame is set to romance actor Suriya onscreen for the first time in her career. She is returning to Kollywood after a twelve-year hiatus. The entertainer was shot in several places in Chennai and Kochi. Scene is scheduled for a festive release on Deepavali, the 6th of Nov. The makers have been promoting the film by sharing a title teaser and singles from the album on social media. They have now dropped the trailer of the movie.
Taking to his official X account, actor Suriya released a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Scene and wrote, “Murder. Mystery. Madness . . . and a whole lot of laughter! Enjoy Scene in theatres with friends and family! With Love from us to you. In cinemas from 6th Nov 2026! Diwali Release. Jithu Madhavan, Jyotika, Nazriya Fahadh, Naslen, Sushin Shyam, Vineeth Augustian, Ajmal Sabu, Jayshree Damodharan, Rajsekar Pandian, Zhagaram Studios, 2D Entertainment, Sakthi Film Factory, Sony Music South India.”
The two minute trailer of Scene begins with actor Suriya instructing Alexa, “Alexa, play some music.” It queries, “What mood?” He says, “Any mood, girl!” The scene cuts to him rendering his resignation, “Inbaraj, hereby submitting my resignation J4 police station.” Following which actor Raj Priyan pleads with Suriya, “Stephen, Sir, asked that you be arrested and brought along. It would be great if you could cooperate.” To which Suriya responds, “Tell him I will not cooperate.”
In a scene, Suriya’s superior officer asks him, “At present, you are at the peak of your career. What would you do after resigning?” He tells him, “Politics! I am going to step into politics.” Subsequently, a character screams, “Equal, bring me my equal opponent!” The shot shifts to actor Suriya saying, “Showing off, is it? Do you peg yourself as equal to me?” The trailer ends with actor Suriya mouthing his popular Singam dialogue, “When I strike, 1.5 tonnes of fury will hit you hard. Watch me.”
The casting crew of the drama also has Malayalam actor Lal, Naslen K Gafoor, John Vijay, Raj Priyan, Anandraj, Selva, and Thanishka. Actor Silambarasan is said to have made a guest role in the entertainer. Malayalam music composer Sushin Shyam has orchestrated the musical score for the movie. Already a single ‘Aathi Iva Yarraa’ in the lyrics and voice of Raj Priyan, is out from the album.
Cinematographer Vineeth Augustian has overseen the visuals and camera division for the drama. Editor Ajmal Sabu has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the flick. Art director A Rajesh has designed sets for the entertainer. Stunt director Chethan D’Souza has fashioned action moves in the venture.
Scene is backed by Suriya himself under his home banner Zhagaram Studios along with his wife & actress Jyotika under the production company 2D Entertainment. B Sakthivelan of Sakthi Film Factory will be bringing the drama to theaters. Netflix has locked in the post-theatrical streaming rights for the upcoming venture.
On the work side, actor Suriya is now immersed in his future project tentatively titled Suriya 48 crafted by T J Gnanavel in which he will be seen alongside actors Kayadu Lohar & Yogi Babu, Suriya 49 filmed by H Vinoth in which he will be joining forces with actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, Suriya 50 helmed by Mari Selvaraj, Vaadivaasal directed by Vetrimaaran in which he will be collaborating with actors Andrea Jeremiah & Ameer Sultan, and for a guest role in Benz scripted by Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which he will be appearing alongside actors Raghava Lawrence, Ravi Mohan, Nivin Pauly, & Samyuktha Menon.
On the other hand, actress Nazriya Nazim also awaits the release of her next Malayalam film El Clasico helmed by Muhsin Parari in which she has collaborated with actor Tovino Thomas.
