First Single ‘Aathi Iva Yarraa’ From Suriya’s Scene Is A Peppy Number!
Actor Suriya last graced the silver screen in the romance family drama Vishwanath & Sons helmed by Venky Atluri with actress Mamitha Baiju in the female lead role. The Retro actor is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming cop film titled Scene. Malayalam story teller Jithu Madhavan, who crafted the superhit black comedy action movie Aavesham, has written and helmed the film. Actor Dravid Selvam has penned the dialogue for the entertainer.
Actress Nazriya Nazim of Raja Rani fame joins forces with actor Suriya for the first time in her career. Ending a twelve-year hiatus, she is set to return to Tamil cinema. The drama was shot in multiple areas across Chennai, Kochi, and Russia. Earlier, the production house had unveiled a title teaser for the flick. They have now released the first single from the album on social media.
Taking to their official X account, the team of Sony Music South India shared a special poster along with links to the Tamil & Telugu versions of the first single ‘Aathi Iva Yarraa’ from Scene and captioned it, “It’s time to vibe! Actor Raj Priyan holds both songwriting and vocal credits for the track. He has also choreographed dance moves for the song. The soundtrack is mixed by Abin Paul and mastered by Donal Whelam. Malayalam music director Sushin Shyam has brought this song to life with his musical score.
The scene is hyped as a comical cop drama starring actor Suriya as a quirky protagonist. The one-minute title teaser for Scene featured actor Suriya as a sharp, sarcastic cop named Inbaraj, whose arrival at a prison – marked by his intimidating reputation – strikes fear in to both the inmates and his fellow officers.
Apart from Suriya and Nazriya Nazim, the star-studded cast of the movie also has Malayalam actor Lal, John Vijay, Naslen K Gafoor, Anandraj, Raj Priyan, Selva, Thanishka, and Mathialaghan depicting various supporting roles. Actor Silambarasan is reported to have played a guest role in the entertainer.
Cinematographer Vineeth Augustian has been behind lens for the venture. Editor Ajmal Sabu has been brought on board to work on the editing division of the project. Art director A Rajesh has built sets for the film. Stunt master Chethan D’Souza has choreographed action blocks in the flick.
Scene is funded by Suriya himself under the production house Zhagaram Studios in association with his wife & actress Jyotika under the production studio 2D Entertainment. Netflix OTT platform has snapped up the post theatrical streaming rights for the entertainer.
On the professional side, actor Suriya is presently engaged in his next venture provisionally christened Suriya 48 directed by T J Gnanavel in which he will be collaborating with actors Kayadu Lohar & Yogi Babu, Suriya 49 helmed by H Vinoth, Suriya 50 scripted by Mari Selvaraj, Vaadivaasal filmed by Vetrimaaran in which he will be featuring alongside actors Andrea Jeremiah & Ameer Sultan, and for a cameo role in Benz crafted by Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which he will be seen with actors Raghava Lawrence, Ravi Mohan, Nivin Pauly, & Samyuktha Menon.
On the other hand, actress Nazriya Nazim eagerly waits for her next Malayalam release El Clasico created by story teller Muhsin Parari in which she has shared screen space with actor Tovino Thomas.
