Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons Trailer: A Noble Cause Sparks A May September Romance!
Actor Suriya is basking in the success of Karuppu directed by RJ Balaji with actress Trisha Krishnan in the female lead role. The NGK actor is now eagerly expecting the release of his Tamil Telugu bilingual romantic comedy film christened Vishwanath And Sons. Director Venky Atluri, who is known for projects like Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar, has penned and helmed the flick. Writer K N Vijayakumar has written dialogues for the drama.
Actress Mamitha Baiju of Dude fame has starred in the female lead role in the flick. Vishwanath And Sons was shot in various locations in Chennai, Hyderabad, Belarus, and Europe. The film is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on 14th of August. The makers had earlier dropped a teaser and a couple of singles from the entertainer. They have now shared the trailer of the movie on social media.
Taking to his official X account, actor Suriya himself launched the trailer of Vishwanath And Sons, and wrote, “Vishwanath And Sons Trailer. Tamil Telugu. See you all in cinemas on August 14th! VAS Trailer. VAS on AUG 14th. Venky Atluri, G V Prakash Kumar, Nimish Ravi, Mamitha Baiju, Radikaa Sarathkumar akka, Raveena Tandon, Sithara Entertainments, Naga Vamsi, Primark Productions, Aditya Music.” Here is the post made by the star.
The nearly three minutes trailer of Vishwanath And Sons begins with the voiceover of actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, “My son will be trained in pistol shooting.” We then witness her telling her kid, “You have to win a gold medal in the Olympics.” Following which we have the intro of actor Suriya winning medals. In a presser he says, “Our money and status should be a mark of potential, never a source of pride.”
In a shot a doctor briefs Suriya on the health condition of a baby, “Abhay must undergo a bone marrow transplantation.” To which he says, “Such a critical surgery on his little body! Search for a donor. We can pay.” The scene shifts to actress Mamitha Baiju telling Suriya, “Till now I have never been someone’s responsibility. Just thinking about your son gives me goosebumps.” She then tells someone, “He has a stealthy way of showing his love. And I needed that.”
Subsequently, actor Suriya gets philosophical, “It is not the fight that separates people but not knowing how to reconnect afterwards.” Towards the end of the trailer he advises, “Do not stop till you win. Do not keep talking after you have won.” The casting team of Vishwanath And Sons also includes actors Nassar, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Mathew Varghese, Sarvadaman Banerjee, George Maryan, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik, Sudha, Kaali Venkat, Raghu Babu, Bjorn Surrao, Viva Harsha, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, and Master Charvik.
Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has scored music for the entertainer. Already three singles ‘Pattampoochi’ in the vocals of Sublahshini lyrics penned by Arunraja Kamaraj, ‘The Wedding Song’ sung by Suriya lyrics inked by Ken Karunas, and ‘The One Rule’ written and crooned by Gana Kadhar, is already out from the album.
Cinematographer Nimish Ravi has been behind the lens for the drama. Editor Navin Nooli has been hired to work in the editing department of the venture. Art directors Shiva Kamesh D and Jithu Sebastian have engineered sets for the movie. Action director Venkat has fashioned action blocks in the entertainer.
Vishwanath And Sons is backed by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the production studio Sithara Entertainments, in partnership with Sai Soujanya for the production label Fortune Four Cinemas. Radha Krishna will be presenting the movie under the production house Srikara Studios.
On the work side, actor Suriya is currently busy with his next project provisionally titled Suriya 47 helmed by Jithu Madhavan in which he will be working with actress Nazriya Nazim, Suriya 48 directed by T J Gnanavel in which he will be performing with actress Kayadu Lohar, Vaadivaasal scripted by Vetrimaaran, and for a guest appearance in Benz created by Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which he will be featuring with actors Raghava Lawrence, Ravi Mohan, Nivin Pauly & Samyuktha Menon.
On the other hand, actress Mamitha Baiju is awaiting a release in Tamil cinema via Irandu Vaanam crafted by Ram Kumar in which she has joined forces with actor Vishnu Vishal, and in Malayalam via Bethlehem Kudumba Unit helmed by Girish A D in which she has costarred with actor Nivin Pauly. The Jana Nayagan actress is now engaged in her next Tamil flick tentatively titled PRS 01 filmed by The Alpha Unit in which she will be starring with actors Ashwath Marimuthu & Swasika Vijay, two of her Malayalam dramas Premalu 2 scripted by Girish A D in which she will be collaborating with actor Naslen, and an untitled film created by Dinoy Poulose in which she will be associating with actor Sangeeth Prathap.
