Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons To Release On This Date!

Actor Suriya recently had a blockbuster outing in the fantasy action movie Karuppu crafted by RJ Balaji with actress Trisha Krishnan in the female lead role. The Kanguva actor is now eagerly anticipating the release of his next Tamil Telugu bilingual romantic comedy movie titled Vishwanath And Sons. Story teller Venky Atluri, who previously delivered projects like Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar, has written and helmed the venture. 

Actress Mamitha Baiju of Dude fame has portrayed the female lead role in the movie. The entertainer has been shot in various regions in Chennai, Hyderabad, Belarus, and parts of Europe. The production house recently shared the teaser of the film on social media. We now have news that the entertainer is all set to release in theaters worldwide on 14th of August. The makers themselves have announced the news. 

Taking to their official X profile, the production team of Sithara Entertainments dropped a couple of special posters from Vishwanath And Sons and announced, “Dear Anbaana Fans, here’s our little note to keep the celebrations going. Make way for Vishwanath And Sons. Arriving to conquer cinemas worldwide on AUGUST 14th, 2026. VAS on AUG 14th. Suriya, Venky Atluri, Mamitha Baiju, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, G V Prakash Kumar, Naga Vamsi, Navin Nooli, Nimish Ravi, Banglan, Sai Soujanya Sithara Entertainments, Fortune 4 Cinemas, Srikara Studios, Think Studios, Aditya Music, Phars Film.” Here is the post made by the production unit.

Vishwanath And Sons is touted to explore the struggles and societal sigma of a May September relationship. The teaser of the movie showed actor Suriya as a successful marksman with whom actress Mamitha Baiju falls in love. Actor Suriya has been in a bad run for a long while. But he recently broke the jinx with the mega success of Karuppu. Hence, there is massive expectation on this project. 

Apart from Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, the casting team of Vishwanath And Sons also has Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, Kaali Venkat, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Bjorn Surrao, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sre, and Rajkamal Shefi in various supporting characters. Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has been trusted with the musical department of the movie. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi has worked on the cinematography division of the entertainer. 

Editor Navin Nooli has been hired to bring coherence to the flick. Art directors Shiva Kamesh D and Jithu Sebastian have fashioned backgrounds for the film. Stunt master Venkat has engineered action moves for the project. Vishwanath And Sons is funded by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the production house Sithara Entertainments in partnership with Sai Soujanya for the production label Fortune Four Cinemas. Radha Krishna will be presenting the movie under the banner house Srikara Studios. 

On the work side, actor Suriya in currently busy shooting for his next project tentatively christened Suriya 47 crafted by Jithu Madhavan in which he will be seen alongside actress Nazriya Nazim, Rolex created by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Vijay Sethupathi & Arjun Das, Vaadivaasal helmed by Vetrimaaran, and for a cameo role in Raghava Lawrence’s Benz scripted by Bakkiyaraj Kannan with actors Nivin Pauly & Samyuktha Menon in lead roles. 

On the other hand, actress Mamitha Baiju will soon grace the screens via Jana Nayagan created by H Vinoth in which she has partnered with actors Vijay & Pooja Hegde, Irandu Vaanam helmed by Ram Kumar in which she has associated with actor Vishnu Vishal, and in Malayalam via Bethlehem Kudumba Unit crafted by Girish A D in which she has romanced actor Nivin Pauly. The actress is now engaged in her next Malayalam drama Premalu 2 directed by Girish A D in which she will be teaming up with actor Naslen, and an untitled project scripted by Dinoy Poulose in which she will be co-starring with actor Sangeeth Prathap.
