Aegan’s Haiku Trailer: An Unexpected Romance Convinces The Only Male Student At a Women’s College To Stay!
Actor Aegan had his last outing in a supporting role in the social drama Niram Marum Ulagil helmed by J B Britto with actors Rio Raj, Natarajan Subramaniam, and Kaniha in the lead roles. The Kozhipannai Chelladurai actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming romantic flick titled Haiku. Story teller Yuvaraj Chinnaswamy, who is known for directing tv series such as Padikathavan and Aaha Kalyanam, has crafted the entertainer. Creator Hariharan Ram has helped shape the flow of the movie.
Telugu actress Sridevi Apalla will make her Kollywood debut as a leading lady in this venture. Malayalam actress Femina George will also be making her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the flick. The production house has now launched the trailer of the film on social media, along with its release date. Haiku is all set to arrive in theaters worldwide on 23rd of October in languages Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu.
Taking to their official X handle, the Saregama South team dropped a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Haiku and captioned it, “Not every love story shouts . . . some just feel like a haiku. The two minutes odd trailer of Haiku starts with a college watchwoman shouting at Aegan, “Hey, who are you man? You just opened the gate and are trying to enter the premises. Get out.” The shot cuts to a woman saying, “Welcome to Arul Bodhi family. Your life is going to change.” Then, we have a girl asking Aegan, “Arul Bodhi college? Did they not say anything to you? This is a women’s college dude.” To which he asks, “Am I the only boy in my class then?” She responds, “You are the only boy on the entire campus, dumbo.”
In a scene, Aegan introduces himself to the class, “Hi, my name is Manohar. I am male.” The whole class bursts into laughter. Subsequently, a character tells Aegan, “I spoke to our local councilor, man. He said he will get you the TC from the college.” He refuses, “No man. It is just a year. I will manage.” The shot shifts to one of his friends complaining, “He looks at his phone and laughs. Tell us he should study. What happened to him, man?” A shy Aegan informs him, “I am in love.”
Following which Aegan says, “We must take care of a woman when she is in love with us. Once she decides to leave, no matter how much you beg her, she will not return.” The trailer ends with Aegan dining with his friends, where he asks actress Femina George, “What do you think?” She responds, “It is just like how they make it in my home.” His friend quips, “Do they cook this awfully in your home?”
Apart from Aegan, Sri Devi, and Femina George, the star cast of the film also has actors Mime Gopi, Indhumathi Manigandan, Adhiyaman A, Adirchi Arun, Shree Tej S K, and Subramaniya Sethu in various supporting roles. Music composer Siddhu Kumar has been roped in to handle the musical instruments for the entertainer. Cinematographer Priyesh Gurusamy has overseen the cinematography division of the drama. Editor Sakthi Pranesh P has been trusted with the editing department of the flick.
Art director Prem Karunthamalai has designed the background for the film. The entertainer is bankrolled by Dr D Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu under the production company Vision Cinema House. B Sakthivelan has bagged the theatrical rights of the film, and will be releasing the drama under the banner house Sakthi Film Factory. The post theatrical rights of the project has been acquired by Netflix India.
On the work front, actress Sridevi Apalla is currently busy shooting for her next untitled Tamil Project crafted by Regan Stanislaus in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Kotapadi J Rajesh, Arjun Ashokan, Aju Varghese, and Abishek Joseph Geroge.
On the other hand, actress Femina George will soon have a release in Malayalam cinema via Orijinal directed by Ramees in which she has starred with actors Sreenath Bhasi, & Abhiram Radhakrishnan. The actress is presently occupied in her future Malayalam drama Disco created by Ullas Chemban in which she will be working with actors Antony Varghese & Sreenath Bhasi, Sri Garuda Kalpa filmed by Shaji A John in which she will be teaming up with actors Binu Pappu & Dhruvan, and a Telugu movie Raaka scripted by Atlee in which she will be seen alongside actors Allu Arjun & Deepika Padukone.
