Andrea Jeremiah is an exceptionally multi talented artist of Tamil cinema. Beginning her career as a playback singer she has come to become a successful leading lady in the industry. The Aayirathil Oruvan actress had a last outing in the horror thriller Aranmanai 3 which hit the screens under the direction of film maker Sundar C with actor Arya in the lead. The movie registered a decent commercial success. The actress is now gearing up for the release of her next horror thriller Pisasu 2 which is helmed by film maker Mysskin. The production house dropped the teaser of the film on social media a couple of months back. The teaser had a greater reception among the audience and has clocked millions of views.
Now, the production house has revealed the release date of the flick on social media. The entertainer is poised to hit the theaters on 31st of August this year. Actress Andrea Jeremiah herself has shared the news. Taking to her official twitter account, the actress shared a poster from the flick and wrote, “Are you ready to be haunted? Director Mysskin Pisasu 2 is releasing in theaters worldwide on the auspicious Vinayagar Chathurthi, August 31 2022.” Here is the trailer shared by the actress.
The first part of the horror thriller Pisasu hit the screens back in the year 2014 with actor Naga in the lead role. The drama had a good reception among the critics and audience and was critically acclaimed. It was this reception that had prompted story teller Mysskin to make a sequel on it. The teaser of the sequel has created high anticipation on the project. Talking about the film in an interview, the director had stated that the drama will have a lot of ‘A rated’ scenes as it has a high degree of horror and a fine share of jump scare moments. Director Mysskin’s last outing Psycho did not fare in the box office as expected. So, it is said that the director has banked high on this venture to return to winning ways.
Apart from actress Andrea Jeremiah, Pisasu 2 has actor Vijay Sethupathi in an extended cameo appearance. The casting department of the drama has actors Poorna, Ajmal Ameer, Namita Krishnamurthy, Santhosh Prathap, and Rajkumar Pitchumani playing various other supporting parts. The cinematography for the film has been done by cinematographer Siva Santhakumar. Music director Karthik Raja, son of Ilayaraja has composed the music for the movie. Editor Keerthana has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the drama. The entertainer is bankrolled by T. Muruganantham under the production house Rockfort Entertainment.
On the work front, actress Andrea Jeremiah who was last seen on screens in the third installment of the Aranmanai franchise is currently busy shooting for two of her upcoming untitled ventures directed by story tellers Dinesh Selvaraj and Bobby Antony. The Pachaikili Muthucharam actress is getting ready for a consecutive release in the likes of Kaa filmed by director Nanjil in which she has co starred with late actor Salim Ghouse, Vattam scripted by film maker Kamalakannan in which she has shared the screen space with actors Sibiraj, and Manjima Mohan, and. Apart from these projects, the actress has Maaligai filmed by filmmaker Dil Sathya, and No Entry helmed by director Alagu Karthik in various stages of post-production getting tuned for release.
