Actor Jai last graced the silver screens in the romantic comedy movie Baby And Baby scripted by director Prathap with actors Yogi Babu, Pragya Nagra, and Sathyaraj in lead roles. The Theera Kaadhal actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming romantic entertainer Sattendru Maarudhu Vaanilai. Newbie story teller Babu Vijay, former associate of director A R Murugadoss, has penned and helmed the project.
Actress Meenakshi Govindarajan of Vattakhanal fame will be seen in the female lead part in the flick. An official release date for the drama is expected to be announced soon. Singer Shreya Ghoshal recently celebrated her birthday. As a token of love, the production team has released a song sung by her in the movie’s album.
Taking to his official X account, actor Jai himself shared a small clip along with a link to the second single ‘Sattendru Maarudhu Vaanilai’ from Sattendru Maarudhu Vaanilai and extended his wishes to singer Shreya Ghoshal, “Happy Birthday to Shreya Ghoshal. Singers Shreya Ghoshal and M S Krsna have crooned the number. Lyricist Snekan has inked lyrics for the track. The song is mixed and mastered by Sai Shravanam. Music director Girishh Gopalakrishnan has worked on the musical division of the film. Already a number ‘Akkadi’ in the vocals of Thenisai Thendral Deva lyrics written by Girishh Gopalakrishnan is out from the album.
Earlier speaking to a renowned media house, story teller Babu Vijay stated, “The title promises a breezy romantic film. But the movie also has a contrasting side of custodial torture. The plot of the story revolves around a man who gets mistakenly embroiled in a crime and gets arrested. This drama will be a concoction of Vetrimaaran, Mani Ratnam, and A R Murugadoss’s works.”
Talking about how actor Jai greenlit to be a part of the film he disclosed, “When I narrated the story to him, he was very impressed. He told me that this is the best story he has heard since Raja Rani. He hugged me and agreed to be a part of it. I think this project will be a good launch for me and a turning point in actor Jai’s career.”
The title ‘Sattendru Maarudhu Vaanilai’ seems to be inspired by a celebrated song from Suriya’s Vaaranam Aayiram. The casting team of Sattendru Maarudhu Vaanilai also includes actors Yogi Babu, Garuda Ram, Adthiya Kathir, Sathyan, and Sriman. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan has shouldered cameras for the entertainer.
Editor Darling Richardson has been roped in to trim the film. Art director Kannan has erected sets for the project. Action director Murali G has designed action blocks for the flick. Sattendru Maarudhu Vaanilai is backed by Babu Vijay under the banner house BV Frames.
On the professional front, actor Jai is simultaneously shooting for multiple movies in Worker filmed by Vinay Krishna in which he will be partnering with actress Reeshma Nanaiah, Texla helmed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth in which he will be performing alongside actors Suraj Venjaramoodu & G M Sundar, Karuppar Nagaram crafted by Gopi Nainar in which he will be teaming up with actress Aishwarya Rajesh, and Khaki directed by A Senthil Kumar in which he will be associating with actors Vijay Antony & Indhuja Ravichandran.
On the other hand, actress Meenakshi Govindarajan is eagerly anticipating the release of her debut tv series Kaithri scripted by Siddharth Ram in which she has costarred with actors Karthik Kumar & Priya Dhivyadarshini. The Cobra actress is now occupied on her next project Kadhale Kadhale filmed by Premnath in which she will be collaborating with actors Advaith, Anshitha Anji & Bharathiraja, Demonte Colony 3 crafted by R Ajay Gnanamuthu in which she will be seen alongside actors Arulnithi & Priya Bhavani Shankar, and My Dear Sister directed by Prabhu Jeyaram in which she will be working with actors Arulnithi and Mamta Mohandas.
