Actor Vimal was last seen on screens in the web drama Vilangu which hit the Zee5 OTT platform under the direction of Prasanth Pandiyara with actress Ineya as the female lead. The series received critical acclamations from the audience and critics alike. Actor Yogi Babu had his last outing in the likes of Repeat Shoe helmed by Kalyaan. The movie left the theaters unnoticed. Now, both actors Vimal and Yogi Babu have teamed up for a yet to be titled movie which is directed by Abdul Majith of Thamizhan fame. The flick which went on floors a couple of months back will be wrapped with the final schedule which is set to take place in Vellore and Ranipet.
The drama is touted to be a comedy entertainer which is based on the broking industry. It is expected to explore the ways and methods the scammers in the broking industry deploy to swindle people’s money. It is said that the production unit is in plans to wrap the project by the end of November as they are eyeing to release the entertainer for Pongal. Apart from actors Vimal, and Yogi Babu, the flick has actresses Aishwarya Dutta of Big Boss fame, and Diana Champika of Annadurai fame as the female leads. The casting department of the drama has actors M. S. Bhaskar, Mottai Rajendran, John Vijay, Namo Narayana, Ravi Maria, power star Srinivasan, Chaams, and professor Gnanasambandham, essaying various other supporting roles. The entertainer is funded by film maker Abdul Majith himself.
On the work front, actor Vimal who had his last outing in the web series Vilangu is currently shooting for various ventures concurrently. The Kalavani actor is busy shooting for the flick titled Deiva Machan under the direction of Martyn Nirmal kumar in which he will be seen alongside actress Neha Jha, for Enga Pattan Sothu scripted by A. Sarkunam in which he will be romancing actress Anicka Vikhraman, for Manjal Kudai directed by Sivam Rajamani in which he will be collaborating with actress Shirin Kanchwala, for Thudikkum Karangal shot by Veludoss Gnanasamantham with actress Misha Narang as female lead, and for Kulasami filmed by Saravana Sakthi in which he will be co starring with actress Tanya Hope. Upon finishing these ventures, the actor will begin to shoot for Thudikarangal directed by Veera and Lucky. Besides these ventures, the actor has his long-delayed drama christened Sandakkari filmed by R. Madhesh in the shelves awaiting release.
On the other hand, the actor who was last seen on screens in Repeat Shoe is currently busy shooting for actor Vijay’s next project christened Varisu under the direction of story teller Vamshi Paidipally, for Jailer directed by Nelson in which he will be seen alongside superstar Rajinikanth, for Medical Miracle helmed by Johnson K in which he will be romancing actress Dharsha Gupta, and for the sequel of Thalai Nagaram helmed by director V. Z. Dhorai with actor Sundar C in the lead. Besides these ventures, the actor has Coffee With Kadhal filmed by film maker Sundar C in which he has shared the screen space with actors Jiiva, Jai, and Srikanth, Ayalaan scripted by storyteller R. Ravikumar in which he has collaborated with actor Sivakarthikeyan, and Takkar filmed by storyteller Karthik G in which he has co starred with actor Siddharth in the post production getting shaped for release. The Gurkha actor also has a dozen delayed projects in his pipeline awaiting release.
