Actor Shane Nigam set foot in Malayalam cinema with his child artist part in Thanthonni. Years later he headlined the romantic film Kismath directed by story teller Shanavas K Bavakutty. The entertainer turned out to be a blockbuster hit. He backed his success with even better commercially successful projects in Eeda, Kumbalangi Nights, and Ishq. The consecutive success kept him in prolonged limelight which helped him garner millions of fans. The actor is now set to make his way into Kollywood with his upcoming film christened Madraskaaran. Director Vaali Mohan Das has penciled and helmed the movie. Actor Kalaiyarasan of Raja Manthiri fame has played the second lead in the drama. Actresses Niharika Konidela and Aishwarya Dutta have been signed in to essay the female lead parts. The production team is currently working to lock a release date for the entertainer. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon.
The makers had released the teaser of the flick last month. They have now launched the first single titled ‘Thai Thakka Kalyanam’ from the album on social media. Taking to his official X profile, actor Vijay Sethupathi shared a poster along with a link to the song ‘Thai Thakka Kalyanam’ and captioned it, “Launching ‘Thai Thakka Kalyanam’ the first single from Madraskaaran. Thai Thakka Kalyanam first single from Madraskaaran
Singers Kapil Kapilan and Aparna have lent their voice for the number. Lyricist Elan has written lyrics for the track. Music director Sam C S has composed music for the song. Madraskaaran is touted to be an action thriller drama. It is about a young man who migrates from Chennai to Madurai and gets entangled with an influential man in the town. The teaser of the flick showed a series of murders and high-octane action blocks promising a feast for fans of action movies. The production house has shot the drama in and around the vicinities of Chennai, Madurai, and Kochi.
Cast of Madraskaaran also has veteran actors Karunas, Pandiarajan, and Sharan playing pivotal supporting roles. Cinematographer Prasanna S Kumar has operated the camera for the movie. Editor R Vasantha Kumar has been brought on board to bring coherence to the flick. Art director Ananth Mani has fashioned the background for the venture. Stunt master Santhosh has choreographed action moves. The entertainer is backed by B Jagadish under his production label SR Productions.
On the work front, actor Shane Nigam is staring at a back-to-back release in Malayalam cinema via Parakramam helmed by Arjun Ramesh in which he has shared screen space with actress Sona Olickal, Aayirathonnam Ravu directed by Salam Bappu, Bermuda crafted by story teller T K Rajeev Kumar, and Qurbani scripted by director V Geo in which he has co starred with actress Aarsha Chandhini Baiju. The actor will soon begin to shoot for his next projects christened Haal under director Prasanth Vijayakumar and Painkili which will be helmed by Devan.
