Actor Vijay Antony lastly did a cameo appearance in the romantic comedy entertainer Pookie crafted by Ganesh Chandra with actors Ajay Dhishan and R K Dhanusha in lead roles. The Tamilarasan actor is now getting ready for his next outing in the family entertainer Nooru Sami. Director Sasi, who already has a hit with actor Vijay Antony in Pichaikkaran, has helmed the project. Writer Mohan Rajan has aided in shaping the flow of the movie.
Malayalam actress Swasika Vijay of Lubber Pandhu fame has depicted the female lead role in the movie. Malayalam actress Lijomol Jose of Jai Bhim fame has portrayed a prominent part in the flick. Nooru Sami was extensively shot in multiple areas in Kallakurichi. The drama is scheduled to hit the screens on 19th of June. The production unit has been promoting the flick by dropping singles from the album. They have now released the trailer of the venture on social media.
Taking to his official X account, actor Sivakarthikeyan shared a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Nooru Sami and captioned it, “Happy to share the trailer of Sasi sir’s Nooru Sami. The trailer has a lot of heart. Best wishes to Director Sasi sir, Vijay Antony sir, Swasika and the entire cast and crew for a huge success.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The two minute trailer of Nooru Sami opens to a voiceover, “Do you know what are the basic needs of every being on earth? Food, sleep, then finding oneself a partner.” The shot cuts to actress Swasika Vijay asking Vijay Antony, “Why are you so happy now?” He replies, “I have become very fond of you.” She enquired, “Why?” A surprised Vijay Antony says, “You should only ask why, when someone says they do not like you.”
In a shot we see a man trying to misbehave with actress Swasika Vijay. Subsequently, she cries, “So far, I feared my husband and his family. Now I must be scared of everyone in the village.” Then we have a character mouthing, “What? A woman to take care of a man?” The trailer ends with actress Swasika Vijay confronting actor Ajay Dhishan, “Who are you to decide my life?”
The star cast of Nooru Sami also includes actors Ajay Dhishan, Bagavathi Perumal, Munishkanth, Padini Kumar, Balaji Sakthivel, Aruldoss, Sakthi, Sabitha Roy, Subramania Siva, Thamarai, Kodangi Vadivelu, Vinodhini, Jenson Dhivakar, Kavya Anil, Muthualagi, Abinaya, Saratha, Karunas, and Moorthy.
Musician Balaji Sriram has scored music for the film. Already three singles ‘Maaya Kanavo’ in the vocals of Kapil Kapilan & Chinmayi Sripaada, ‘Amma Amma Dhaan’ in the voice of Sreekanth Hariharan, and ‘Reengara’ sung by Anurag Kulkarni & Darini Hariharan, is out from the album. Lyricist Mohan Rajan has penned lyrics for all the numbers.
Cinematographer S B Darshan Kirlosh has shouldered camera for the flick. Editor Harish Yuvaraj has been hired to edit the entertainer. Art director V Sasi Kumar has designed the background for the film. Stunt director Ramkumar has fashioned action moves for the drama. Nooru Sami is funded by Meera Vijay Antony under the production house Vijay Antony Film Corporation.
On the professional side, actor Vijay Antony is staring at a consecutive release in Appa Kutty directed by Mu Maran in which he has collaborated with actress Preethi Asrani, and Khaki scripted by Senthil Kumar in which he has associated with actor Jai. The Romeo actor is currently occupied on his future film Lawyer helmed by Joshua Sethuraman in which he will be costarring with actress Raveena Tandon, Valli Mayil crafted by Suseenthiran in which he will be partnering with actress Faria Abdullah, and Aayirathil Oruvan 2 created by Selvaraghavan in which he will be featuring with actor Dhanush.
On the other hand, actress Lijomol Jose is anticipating her next Tamil release in Kaagangal filmed by Anand Annamalai in which she has starred with actor Yogi Babu, two releases in Malayalam via Aja Sundari directed by Manu Antony in which she has teamed up with actor Joju George, and Annapoorni helmed by Lional Joshua in which she will be seen alongside actors Rajeev Gandhi & Hari Krishnan.
