Actor Kalaiyarasan lastly entertained audiences in the psychological thriller Kolaiseval directed by V R Thudhivaanan with actress Deepa Balu as female lead. Actor Vidharth was last seen in the thriller film Marutham filmed by Gajendran with actress Rakshana as female lead. Both will soon be seen together on screens in the upcoming crime thriller Moondram Kan. Newbie director Sago Ganesan has penned and crafted the entertainer.
Actress Teju Ashwini of Blackmail fame will be seen in a vital role in the drama. The entertainer was shot in several places in Chennai. Moondram Kan is slated to release in theaters on 12th of June. The makers had recently released a single and a teaser from the flick on social media. They have now shared the trailer of the movie.
Taking to his official X profile, actor Kalaiyarasan himself released a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Moondram Kan and wrote, “Every frame is a clue. The two minutes odd trailer of Moondram Kan opens to a woman telling Teju Ashwini, “You say that he is an aged person. You can trust even the young guys, but the old ones are deceitful. It is better if you avoid him.” She wonders, “Mon says the same thing.” The shot cuts to actor Santhosh Prathap yelling, “God! The drinking glass is missing. Did anyone see it?” Following which he points to a woman and tells actor Vidharth, “This girl also looks good. But do you think her bald father will agree?”
The shot cuts to an owner of a company confronting his manager (John Vijay), “But I did not interview them.” He responds, “If your dad was alive, I would have recruited someone else instead of you!” The frustrated owner fumes, “I am the boss here! I am the one paying you, everyone and even that GM!” In a scene a character says, “A man’s heart is very sensitive. When hurt, it hurts a lot dad.”
The ensemble cast of Moondram Kan also comprises actors Santhosh Prathap, Radha Srinivasan, John Vijay, KPY Sarath, Thrigun, Swetha Dorathy, Athulya Chandra, and Aiswarya K S. Musician Ajesh Ashok has composed music for songs in the film. Music director R S Rajprathap has composed the background track for the movie. A track ‘Vizhigalil Thondriyae’ in the lyrics of Sago Ganesan sung by Ajesh Ashok, is already out from the album.
Cinematographer N S Uthaya Kumar has been behind the lens for the flick. Editor R Ramar has been hired to trim the entertainer. Art director Micheal has fashioned a background for the venture. Stunt director Karthik has engineered action moves for the movie. Moondram Kan is backed by Sasi Kumar under the production house White Horse Studios, in partnership with Sago Ganesan for the production label Trending Entertainment.
On the work front, actor Kalaiyarasan is awaiting big releases via Vettuvam directed by Pa Ranjith in which he has worked with actors Arya, Dinesh, & Sobhita Dhulipala, Train helmed by Mysskin in which he has joined forces with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Narain, & Ira Dayanand, Mugam filmed by Sriram Prasath in which he has partnered with actress Arundhathi, and Pitha scripted by Aathityaa in which he has teamed up with actress Anu Keerthy.
