Actor Mirchi Shiva had his last outing in the sports comedy movie Sumo helmed by S P Hosimin with actress Priya Anand in the female lead role. The Tamizh Padam actor is now enthusiastically expecting the release of his much-anticipated drama Paranthu Po. Director Ram, who is known for his fabulous works Kattradhu Thamizh, Taramani, and Peranbu, has penned and directed the project.
Actress Anjali has yet again joined forces with actor Mirchi Shiva following their celebrated comedy flick Kalakalappu. Famous Malayalam actor Aju Varghese will be announcing his arrival into Tamil cinema with his key supporting role in the venture. The makers have already announced that Parandhu Po will be released in theaters worldwide on 4th of July.
Earlier this month the production unit had released the first lyrical video ‘Sunflower’ and teaser of the project on social media. Now they have unveiled the second single from the film. Taking to his official X profile, actor Mirchi Shiva himself shared a special poster along with a link to the second single ‘Daddy Romba Paavam’ from Paranthu Po and wrote, “Out Now! Music director Santhosh Dhayanithi has worked on the music division of the entertainer. Singer Siddharth has lent his voice for the number. Lyricist Madhan Karky has written lyrics for the song. The track has been mixed and mastered by Pradeep Menon. The teaser of the drama presented a refreshingly amusing bond between a father and his son. The equation that the father shares with his ex after their marriages to different people added an intriguing flavor to the flick.
Besides Mirchi Shiva, Anjali, and Aju Varghese, the star cast of Paranthu Po also has actors Balaji Sakthivel, Sreeja Ravi, Vijay Yesudas, Grace Antony, Master Mitul Ryan, Jesse Kukku, and Dia playing various supporting characters. Cinematographer N K Ekhambram has overseen the cinematography department of the venture. Editor V S Mathi has been contracted to bring coherence to the movie.
Art director M R Rajashekaran has designed the background for the flick. Action master Stunt Silva has choreographed action blocks for the film. Paranthu Po is bankrolled by Ram himself under the production company Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions in collaboration with V Gunasekaran, V Shankar, and V Karupuchaamy under the production label GKS Bros Production along with Jio Hotstar. Raahul holds the theatrical rights of the entertainer, and will be releasing the film under the production banner Romeo Pictures.
On the professional side, actor Mirchi Shiva is busy working on his future projects Kalakalappu 3 helmed by storyteller Sundar C in which he will be reuniting with actor Vemal, Saloon filmed by director Muthukumaran, and Golmaal scripted by Pon Kumaran in which he will be partnering with actors Jiiva, Payal Rajput, and Malavika. Apart from these flicks, the Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum actor has his long-delayed movie Party directed by story teller Venkat Prabhu. The ensemble cast of the entertainer has actors Jai, Sanchita Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Regina Cassandra, Jayaram, and Nivetha Pethuraj.
On the other hand, actress Anjali is currently occupied in her upcoming female centric venture Eegai crafted by Ashok Velayutham.
