Actor Mirchi Shiva was last seen on screens in the horror comedy Idiot which hit the screens under the directorial of Rambhala with actress Nikki Galrani in the female lead role. The entertainer opened to negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. As a result, the flick fell flat in the box office. The actor has now put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his next movie titled Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum. Actress Megha Akash has portrayed the female lead role in the flick. Story teller Vignesh Sha has penned and directed the drama. The production unit had released the teaser of the film earlier this month, which has clocked millions of views.
Now, the production house has unveiled the trailer of the film on social media along with its release date. Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum is all set to hit the theaters on 24th of February this year. Actress Megha Akash has shared the trailer. Taking to her official twitter page, the actress dropped a poster from the flick along with a link to the trailer of Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum, and wrote, “She is simran, the virtual AI (dot) Kollywood ku oru fresh aana romantic comedy story on the wayyy! Over two-minute-long trailer cut opens to a virtual AI (dot) saying, “Those who have a girlfriend can love by means of mobile. Those who do not have a girlfriend can love the mobile device itself.” Following which we have the introduction of Mirchi Shiva who introduces himself in a fun way, “I am Shankar underscore chocoboy 1992.” The trailer ends with typical Mirchi Shiva’s pun where he says to an ironman styled robot, “You may be a superstar but you are not aware of who I am, right?” (Referring to his ‘Agila Ulaga Superstar’ nick name)
Actor Mirchi Shiva will be seen as Shankar, a food delivery agent, while actress Megha Akash as an AI character. The film is about how a newly developed app influences a man’s life. Besides actors Mirchi Shiva, and Megha Akash, the casting division of the movie has actors Anju Kurian, Mano, Ma Ka Pa Anandh, Rajendran, Kalki Raja, KPY Bala, and Divya Ganesh depicting various other supporting roles. Music director Leon James has composed music for the drama. Cinematographer Arthur A Wilson has been behind the lens for the project. Editors Boopathi Selvaraj and S N Fazil have edited the flick. Art director G Durairaj has designed the background of the venture. Stuntman Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed action moves for the drama. The venture is produced by Nadimpally Durga, Sravanthi Raju, and Nadimpally Ramakrishna Raju under the banner house Lark Studios.
On the work front, actor Mirchi Shiva who was last seen on screens in the horror comedy Idiot is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project Golmaal helmed by director Pon Kumaran in which he will be co starring with actors Jiiva, Payal Rajput, and Tanya Hope, and for Saloon scripted by director Muthu Kumaran in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Tanya Ravichandran. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Kaasethan Kadavulada directed by storyteller R. Kannan in which he has associated with actress Priya Anand, and his long-delayed project Sumo filmed by S. P. Hosimin in which he has co starred with actress Priya Anand in the box waiting to see the light of day.
On the other hand, actress Megha Akash who had her last outing in Tamil in the anthology drama Kutty Story is currently busy shooting for her Telugu venture titled Ravanasura under the direction of story teller Sudheer Varma in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Ravi Teja, and Anu Emmanuel, and for Production No 1 helmed by director Abhimanyu in which she will be seen alongside actor Rahul Vijay. Apart from these projects, the actress has couple of Tamil flicks christened Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir crafted by Venkata Krishna Roghanth in which she has romanced actor Ragu Aditya, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan helmed by Vijay Milton in which she has collaborated with actor Vijay Antony, and 31 October Ladies Night directed by A L Vijay in which she has teamed up with actresses Nivetha Pethuraj, and Manjima Mohan in different stages of post-production getting refined for release.
