Actor Mirchi Shiva had his last outing in the likes of the horror comedy Idiot which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Rambhala with actress Nikki Galrani in the female lead part. Unfortunately, the drama opened to negative reviews from the critics and audience. Hence, could not draw much footfall to the theaters. The actor has now put that behind him, and is getting ready for the release of his upcoming venture Kaasethan Kadavulada. Actress Priya Anand will be seen in the female lead role in the movie. Story teller R. Kannan of Kanden Kadhalai fame has helmed the movie. The film which went on floors some time back with a small pooja ceremony was wrapped last year. Substantial portion of the flick was shot in a set built in Chennai.
Now, the production house has announced the release date of the drama. Kaasethan Kadavulada is all set to hit the theaters on 10th of February this year. Taking to their official twitter handle, the production house shared a poster from the flick, and wrote, “The biggest laughter-riot Kaasethan Kadavulada gears up for Feb 10 release.” Here is the post made by the production unit.

Earlier the production team had publicized that Kaasethan Kadavulada will make it to the screens on 7th of October last year. But due to some unknown reasons the release got delayed. Kaasethan Kadavulada is inspired by the 1972 classic vintage drama of the same name which had actors Muthuraman, M. R. R. Vasu, Thengai Srinivasan, and Srikanth in the lead roles. Filmmaker R. Kannan is said to have made some major changes to the screenplay to better suit the taste of today’s generation. The story is about a young man who along with his friend and cousin concoct a plan to con his stepmother. The production team had dropped the trailer of the drama on social media a couple of months ago. The trailer enjoyed a great reception among the audience, and has clocked millions of views till date.
Apart from actor Mirchi Shiva, the casting division of the project has veteran actress Urvashi, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Cook With Komali fame Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Pugazh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Manobala, and VTV Ganesh in various other supporting parts. Music director Raj Pratap has scored music for the flick. Cinematographer S. Saravanan has shouldered the camera for the venture. Editor Don Bosco has edited the movie. Art director Raj Kumar has designed the background for the project. The entertainer is bankrolled by R. Kannan himself under the production label Masala Pix MKRP Productions.
On the work front, actor Mirchi Shiva who was last seen on screens in the horror comedy Idiot is currently busy shooting for his next entertainer Golmaal helmed by director Pon Kumaran in which he will be seen alongside actors Jiiva, Payal Rajput, and Tanya Hope, for Saloon crafted by director Muthu Kumaran in which he will be collaborating with actress Tanya Ravichandran, and for Singled Shankarum Smartphone Simranum scripted by Vignesh Sha in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Megha Akash. Apart from these flicks, the actor has his long-delayed project Sumo helmed by S. P. Hosimin in which he has co starred with actress Priya Anand in the box waiting to see the light of day.
On the other hand, actress Priya Anand who had her last outing in Tamil in a supporting role in Adithya Varma is currently busy shooting for her next Kannada movie christened Kuladalli Keelyavudo under the direction of story teller Yogaraj Bhat in which she will be associating with actor Shivarajkumar. Apart from this venture, the actress has Andhagan crafted by Thiagarajan in which she has romanced actor Prashanth, and Sumo scripted by S. P. Hosimin in which she will be seen alongside actor Shiva in various stages of post-production getting refined for release.
