Actor Dhanush was last seen on screens in the romedy movie Thiruchitrambalam which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Mithran R Jawahar with actress Nithya Menon in the female lead role. The entertainer opened to positive reviews from the critics and audience. As a result, it had a decent commercial success. Actor Dhanush who is basking in the success of Thiruchitrambalam is currently busy shooting for his next flick titled Captain Miller. Actress Priyanka Mohan of Doctor fame will be essaying the female lead part. Director Arun Matheswaran who drew the attention of Tamil cinema audience with his stunning filmmaking style in Rocky, and Saani Kaayidham will be directing the venture. The project which went on floors some time ago was shot extensively in and around the neighborhoods of Tirunelveli.
Now, the production house has released a glimpse video of Captain Miller on social media. Actor Dhanush himself has shared the video. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor dropped the glimpse video, and wrote, “Captain Miller. A glimpse.” Here is the post made by the actor.

Speaking about the flick to a leading media house, director Arun Matheswaran stated, “Dhanush plays the titular role. But he will also be addressed with two other names. He has three different looks in the entertainer. I am sure his fans will love watching him in Captain Miller. The central character of Captain Miller was shaped with an intention to make a high-octane action drama. The story was not written for a specific actor. But I felt that actor Dhanush would be perfect to portray the role. Personally, I like how he balances between being a popular star and a terrific performer. Captain Miller explores a life journey of over 15 years of its central character. There are a wide range of emotions and the transition part of a person’s life to be portrayed convincingly. I felt Dhanush would be able to do it perfectly.”
Captain Miller is touted to be a fast-paced action drama. It is said that the story of Captain Miller is set at the backdrop of the pre-independence epoch in the Madras Presidency between 1930 – 1940. Apart from actors Dhanush, and Priyanka Mohan, the casting division of Captain Miller has actors Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, Nivedhithaa Sathish, and Moor in various other supporting parts. Music director G. V. Prakash Kumar will be scoring the music for the film. Cinematographer Shreyas Krishna of Rocky fame has been behind the lens for the flick. Editor Nagooran has been roped in to edit the entertainer. The movie is produced by T. G. Thyagarajan for the production company Sathya Jyothi Films. The production unit has plans to release the project in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
On the work front, actor Dhanush who had his last outing in the romantic comedy movie Thiruchitrambalam is gearing up for the release of his next movie titled Vaathi crafted by film maker Venky Atluri in which he will be seen alongside actress Samyuktha Menon. The actor will soon start to shoot for his upcoming project that is tentatively titled D 46 which is set to be helmed by director Sekhar Kammula. On the other hand, actor Sundeep Kishan who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the anthology film Kasada Thapara is gearing up for the release of his next Tamil Telugu bilingual drama Michael helmed by Ranjit Jeyakodi in which he has romanced actress Divyansha Kaushik. He is currently busy shooting for his Telugu flick christened Ooru Peru Bhairavakona scripted by director V. I. Anand in which he will be co starring with actresses Kavya Thapar and Varsha Bollamma. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Naragasooran directed by Karthick Naren in which he has collaborated with actors Aravind Swamy, Shriya Saran, and Aathmika in the shelves awaiting release.
