Director Venkat Prabhu had lastly helmed a segment in the anthology web drama Victim: Who Is Next which was out on Sony Liv OTT platform with actors Prasanna, Amala Paul, and Priya Bavani Shankar in the lead roles. The web drama opened to mixed reviews. Thus, is yet to garner the attention of the audience. The Manmadha Leelai director has now moved on to direct his next Tamil Telugu bilingual project christened Custody. Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya will be depicting the lead role in the movie. Actress Krithi Shetty of 86 fame will be seen in the female lead part. The actress is teaming up with actor Naga Chaitanya for the second time after Bangarraju. The venture which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a while ago, has been shot in and around the locations of Hyderabad, Rajahmundry, and Chennai. The team also has a schedule planned in Kerala.
Now, the production house has shared the first look character introduction poster of actress Krithi Shetty on social media. The actress will be essaying a character that goes by the name Revathi. Actress Krithi Shetty herself has shared the poster. Taking to her official twitter account, the actress shared the poster, and wrote, “Here’s Revathi from Custody known for driving people crazy.” Here is the tweet made by the actress.

Earlier, makers of Custody shared a glimpse video on social media which introduced actor Naga Chaitanya as a mass action hero performing action movies. The Ye Maya Chesave actor has beefed up a bit for his role in the film. Custody is slated to hit the screens on 12th of May this year. The teaser of the flick is expected to be unveiled in the coming days. There are rumors in town that the entertainer is the remake of story teller Venkat Prabhu’s blockbuster Tamil flick Maanaadu which had actors Silambarasan and S J Suriya in the lead roles. The production unit is maintaining the mystery by keeping mum on the speculations.
Apart from actor Naga Chaitanya, Custody once again has actor Arvind Swamy in an antagonist part after his stunning performance as an antagonist in Thani Oruvan. The casting department of the drama has actors Ramki, Sarath Kumar, Sampath Raj, Priyamani, Premgi Amaren, Premi Vishwanath, and Vennela Kishore in various other supporting roles. Music director Ilaiyaraaja will be scoring music for songs while his son Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing background score for the movie. This is the second time the father-son duo is teaming up for a project after the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Maamanithan. Cinematographer S R Kathir has been cranking cameras for the venture. Editor Venkat Raajen has been brought on board to edit the entertainer. Stunt master Mahesh Mathew of Agni Siragugal fame will be designing the action moves for the film. The movie is funded by Srinivasa Chitturi under the production label Srinivasa Silver Screen.
On the work front, actor Naga Chaitanya who was last seen in an extended cameo appearance in the Bollywood drama Laal Singh Chaddha is currently busy shooting for his debut web series christened Dootha under the direction of story teller Vikram Kumar in which he will be sharing the screen space with actresses Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Prachi Desai. On the other hand, actress Krithi Shetty who had her last outing in the likes of Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali is currently busy shooting for her maiden Malayalam drama Ajayante Randam Moshanam directed by Jithin Laal in which she will be seen co starring with actors Tovino Thomas and Aishwarya Rajesh.
