Yet another dual hero subject in Tamil cinema. It is a known fact that actors Vijay Antony and Arun Vijay teamed up for the project titled Agni Siragugal. Director Naveen who turned the attention of the audience towards him with his stellar debut drama Moodar Koodam has helmed the film. The entertainer which went on floors in the year 2018 has finally been wrapped and is ready to hit the screens. Now the production house has dropped the teaser of the flick on social media. Actor Suriya took to his official twitter handle and shared the teaser of the flick, and wrote, “Dear all! Here’s Agni Siragugal teaser. Looks very promising! All the best!” Watch the teaser here.
The one and a half minute cut opens with a long shot of two people, followed by a voiceover of actor Arun Vijay telling a story, “Heard of ancient Roman arena, my friend? 2 gladiators would fight. The loser dies. Only the victor stays alive. One should live with such a victory! Or die by the hands of such a warrior. My friend! Only one of us can leave this arena alive. And that will be the one who wins. Defeat me, if you can. So, show me your best!” Both the actors look dashing, and the flick appears to be technically modish as well. These elements have set the expectation level quite high.
Apart from actors Vijay Antony and Arun Vijay, the casting of the movie has actress Akshara Haasan in the female lead role. The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Prakash Raj, Nassar, J. Sathish Kumar, Raima Sen, and Sendrayan in various other supporting roles. K. A. Batcha has taken care of the cinematography department. The musical instruments for the drama have been handled by Natarajan Sankaran. Editor Vetre Krishnan has edited the flick. The entertainer is funded by T. Siva for the banner house Amma Creations.
On the work front, actor Arun Vijay who was last seen on screens in the web drama Oh My Dog is currently busy shooting for his upcoming ventures christened Boxer under the directorial of film maker Vivek in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Ritika Singh, and Sinam directed by Kumaravelan in which he will be seen alongside actress Palak Lalwani. Apart from these films, the actor has Borrder helmed by storyteller Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in which he has co-starred with actress Regina Cassandra, and Yaanai directed by Hari in which he has romanced actress Priya Bhavani Shankar in the post production stage shaping up for release.
On the other hand, actor Vijay Antony who was last seen on screens in Kodiyil Oruvan is currently busy shooting for multiple dramas concurrently. The actor is shooting for the sequel of his superhit flick Pichaikkaran under his own direction with actress Kavya Thapar in the female lead role, for Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan under the direction of storyteller Vijay Milton in which he will be romancing actress Megha Akash, for Ratham filmed by C. S. Amudhan in which he has shared the screen space with actresses Mahima Nambiar, Ramya Nambeesan, Nandita Swetha, and for Kolai helmed by Balaji Kumar. Apart from these ventures, he has Thamezharasan directed by Babu Yogeswaran, and Khaki scripted by A. Senthil Kumar in various stages of post-production getting molded for release.
