Actor Mirchi Shiva had his last outing in the likes of the horror comedy Idiot which hit the theaters under the direction of Rambhala with actress Nikki Galrani as female lead. Unfortunately, the entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Thus, the flick did a bad commercial business. The actor has now moved on to his next project, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie titled Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum. Actress Megha Akash has depicted the female lead role in the flick. Story teller Vignesh Sha has penned and directed the drama. The film which went on floors a while ago with a small pooja ceremony was wrapped last year.
Now, the production house has dropped the teaser of the drama on social media. Actress Megha Akash has unveiled the teaser. Taking to her official twitter handle, the actress shared a poster from the flick along with a link to the teaser of Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum, and wrote, “Here is the teaser of Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum. Over one-minute-long teaser cut opens with a funny note, “Dance iruku. Song iruku. Fight iruku. Unga kita “Headphone” irundha potukonga for better experience.” We are drawn in to its world with a voiceover, “Amarjoth if we succeed in launching this phone in the world market, we will earn in crores.” We see actor Shiva owning the phone which leads to a series of events. The teaser ends with the announcement that trailer of the movie will be out soon. It is said that the production house in eyeing to release Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum in the month of May.
Actor Mirchi Shiva will be seen as Shankar, a food delivery agent, while actress Megha Akash as an AI character. The film is about how a newly developed app influences a man’s life. Apart from actors Mirchi Shiva and Megha Akash, the casting department of the drama has actors Anju Kurian, Mano, Ma Ka Pa Anandh, Rajendran, Kalki Raja, KPY Bala, and Divya Ganesh in various other supporting roles. Music director Leon James has composed music for the drama. Cinematographer Arthur A Wilson has taken care of the cinematography department of the project. Editors Boopathi Selvaraj and S N Fazil have been brought on board to edit the film. Art director G Durairaj has designed the background of the flick. Stuntman Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed action moves for the drama. The entertainer is bankrolled by Nadimpally Durga, Sravanthi Raju, and Nadimpally Ramakrishna Raju under the banner house Lark Studios.
On the work front, actor Mirchi Shiva who had his last outing in the horror comedy Idiot is currently busy shooting for his next entertainer Golmaal under the direction of director Pon Kumaran in which he will be sharing the screen space with actors Jiiva, Payal Rajput, and Tanya Hope, and for Saloon crafted by director Muthu Kumaran in which he will be collaborating with actress Tanya Ravichandran. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Kaasethan Kadavulada crafted by director R. Kannan in which he has co starred with actress Priya Anand, and his long-delayed project Sumo helmed by S. P. Hosimin in which he has collaborated with actress Priya Anand in the box waiting to see the light of day.
On the other hand, actress Megha Akash who was last seen in Tamil in the anthology drama Kutty Story is currently busy shooting for her Telugu movie christened Ravanasura helmed by director Sudheer Varma in which she will be seen alongside actors Ravi Teja, and Anu Emmanuel, and for Production No 1 crafted by Abhimanyu in which she will be romancing actor Rahul Vijay. Apart from these entertainers, the actress has couple of Tamil projects titled Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir scripted by Venkata Krishna Roghanth in which she has collaborated with actor Ragu Aditya, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan directed by Vijay Milton in which she has co starred with actor Vijay Antony, and 31 October Ladies Night Filmed by A L Vijay in which she has associated with actresses Nivetha Pethuraj, and Manjima Mohan in different stages of post-production getting shaped for release.
