Actor Arya was last seen on screens in the science fiction film Captain which hit the theaters under the direction of Shakti Soundar Rajan with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi in the female lead role. The movie opened to negative reviews from critics and audiences. Thus, had a muted response in the box office. The Arinthum Ariyamalum actor has now moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming drama titled Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam. Actress Siddhi Idnani of Venthu Thaninthathu Kaadu fame has played the female lead part. Storyteller M Muthaiah of Kutty Puli fame has written and directed the flick. The entertainer which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony earlier this year is now wrapped, and is in the post production stage shaping up for release.
Now, the production team has unveiled the trailer of the entertainer on social media. Music director G V Prakash Kumar has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter handle, the musician shared a link to the trailer of Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam, and wrote, “Meratalana trailer of Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam.” Here is the post made by the music director.

Two minute trailer cut opens to the voiceover, “In Vaghanagar, Appanadu committee and Jamaat must decide together to pass any policy for common problems.” The scene cuts to a person advising a woman, “Looks like before you get married, half of the village women will become widows. Listen to what we say. It is for the good of you, and the village.” To which the woman responds, “I know whom I should and should not marry.” Following which we have a character asking, “Who is she going to visit in Madurai jail.” We have the actress saying, “Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam.” Then we are presented with the introduction of Arya with a peppy background score. We witness the actor going on a rampage tearing apart henchmen. The trailer ends with actor Arya standing in a gathering and mouthing, “People here have just changed their religion, not their homeland. Hari and Shiva are one, and mud in the mouth of those who do not know it is not necessary here. Ayyanar and Allah are one, and mud in the mouth of those who do not know it is the need of the hour.”
The trailer has gone viral on social media, and has clocked millions of views. Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam marks the first-time association of actor Arya and director M Muthaiah. The storyteller has a reputation for cooking up fierce rural dramas. The teaser, which was released last month, gave away that even Kather Basha Endra Muthuramalingam is going to be in his trademark fashion. The trailer firmly reinforces that message. The makers are yet to give a release date. But there is news that they are eyeing to bring the movie to the theaters in the month of August.
Apart from actors Arya and Siddhi Idnani, the casting department has actors Prabu, Bhagyaraj, Singampuli, Naren, Tamizh, Madhusudhana Rao, Avinash, and R K Vijay Murugan depicting various other supporting parts. Music director G V Prakash Kumar has handled musical instruments for the venture. Cinematographer R Velraj has shouldered camera for the drama. Editor Venkat Raajen has been roped in to edit the flick. Art director Veeramani Ganesan has designed the background for the film. Stunt man Anal Rasu has choreographed action moves for the project. The entertainer is produced by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel for the production label Drumsticks Productions along with Zee Studios.
On the work front, actor Arya who had his last outing in Captain is currently busy shooting for his next untitled project crafted by director Nalan Kumarasamy. The Sarpatta Parambarai actor will soon make his debut in the small screen with his web series titled The Village directed by Milind Rau which is in the post production getting refined for release. On the other hand, actress Siddhi Idnani who had her last outing in Tamil in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is currently busy shooting for her upcoming project Nooru Kodi Vaanavil helmed by director Sasi in which she will be seen alongside actor Harish Kalyan.
