Actor Mirchi Shiva last entertained audiences in the sports comedy film Sumo scripted by S P Hosimin with actress Priya Anand as female lead. The Ya Ya star is now getting ready for his next release this year in Paranthu Po. Storyteller Ram, who has treated audiences to some fabulous entertainers like Kattradhu Thamizh, Taramani, and Peranbu, has written and crafted the flick.
Actress Anjali has shared screen space with actor Mirchi Shiva yet again after their blockbuster comedy film Kalakalappu. The project will mark the debut of popular Malayalam actor Aju Varghese in Kollywood with his crucial part in the flick. Paranthu Po is poised to hit the screens worldwide on 4th of July.
The makers had recently released the first lyrical video from the flick on social media. They have now launched the teaser of the entertainer. Taking to his official X handle, director Mari Selvaraj dropped a special poster from the drama along with a link to the teaser of Paranthu Po and worded, “My Director’s next is getting closer to you! His magical world is set to soar high in your hearts! Here’s the Teaser of Parandhu Po. Director Ram.” Here is the post made by the director.
One-minute odd teaser of Paranthu Po opens to actor Mirchi Shiva smacking and reprimanding his son, “You are lying at this age?” The shot cuts to him searching for him, “Anbu . . . Anbu . . .” Subsequently, we witness his son spraying water on him using a water gun while he is asleep. He asks him, “Why did you shoot water at me?” He responds, “If the dad hits the son at night, the son can hit back in the morning.”
Following which we see Mirchi Shiva telling his son, “Hey, Anbu! You want a promise, right? I promise you?” To which he retorts, “Dad! No one in the world would believe your promise. Tell mom to do it and I will believe her. Cause all dads are liars!” The casting crew of Paranthu Po also comprises actors Vijay Yesudas, Master Mitul Ryan, Jesse Kukku, Balaji Sakthivel, Sreeja Ravi, Grace Antony, and Dia.
Music composer Santhosh Dhayanithi has handled musical instruments for the movie. First single titled ‘Sunflower’ in the vocals of Vijay Yesudas is already out from the album. Cinematographer N K Ekhambram has been behind the lens for the project. Editor V S Mathi has been roped in to edit the venture. Art director M R Rajashekaran has fashioned sets for the drama. Stunt master Stunt Silva has designed action blocks for the entertainer.
Paranthu Po is backed by Ram himself under the banner house Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions in affiliation with V Gunasekaran, V Shankar, and V Karupuchaamy under their production company GKS Bros Production along with Jio Hotstar. Raahul has acquired the distribution rights of the film, and will be bringing the flick to theaters under his production house Romeo Pictures.
On the professional front, actor Mirchi Shiva is currently occupied on his next projects Saloon scripted by Muthukumaran, Golmaal helmed by storyteller Pon Kumaran in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Jiiva, Payal Rajput, & Malavika, and Kalakalappu 3 crafted by Sundar C in which he will once again be teaming up with actor Vemal. Beside these ventures, the Thillu Mullu actor has his long-delayed drama Party helmed by Venkat Prabhu in which he has co starred with actors Jai, Ramya Krishnan, Sanchita Shetty, Regina Cassandra, Jayaram, Sathyaraj, and Nivetha Pethuraj in the trunk waiting for release.
