Actor Gautham Ram Karthik had his last outing in the historical drama August 16 1947 filmed by N S Ponkumar with actress Revathy Sharma in the female lead role. The Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming action thriller tentatively christened GRK 19. Debutant director Dhina Raghavan, erstwhile associate of director Raju Murugan, has penned and helmed the entertainer. Raju Murugan has written dialogues for the drama.
Actress Anchana is set to open her account in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the project. Story teller Selvaraghavan will be seen in a prominent part in the entertainer. The project went on floors in November with a small pooja ceremony. Now we have news that the first scheduled shoot for the flick has been completed. The production unit themselves has announced the news on social media.
Taking to their official X handle, the production team of Draft By GKB shared a pic from the shooting spot and worded, “First Schedule wrapped for Gautham Karthik‘s GRK 19. One more step closer to the screen. GRK 19 First Schedule Wrap
The snap shared by the production team has the whole team of GRK 19 posing as a unit. The initial shoot for the movie took place at Gunji Village in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Director Mari Selvaraj paid a visit to the shooting spot and wished the team well. The second scheduled shoot is set to begin early next year. The production house has plans to wrap the shoot for the movie by the end of summer.
Apart from Gautham Ram Karthik, Selvaraghavan, and Anchana, the casting crew of the film also has actors Robbie, Maaran, P Vasu, A Venkatesh, Aditya Kathir, Bakkiyam Sankar, and Indhumathi essaying various supporting roles. Music director Sam C S has been contracted to score music for the venture. The project marks his second association with actor Gautham Ram Karthik after their 2018 release Mr Chandramouli.
Cinematographer Pratheep Kaliraja has been trusted with the cinematography division of the drama. Editor Deepak has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the movie. Art director Ramalingam is designing the background for the film. Stunt master Abishek Srinivas is fashioning action blocks for the project. The drama is backed by Ganesh K Babu in affiliation with Sanjay Muthukumar V under the production banner Draft By GKB.
On the work front, actor Gautham Ram Karthik is eagerly awaiting successive releases in Mr. X directed by story teller Manu Anand in which he has teamed up with actors Arya, Anagha, & Manju Warrier, Sippai helmed by Saravanan in which he has shared screen space with actresses Lakshmi Menon & Vibha Natarajan, Criminal filmed by Dakshina Moorthy Ramar in which he will be seen alongside actors Sarath Kumar & Janani, and Chellappillai filmed by director Arun Chandhiran. The Yutha Satham actor will soon dedicate himself to shoot for ROOT – Running Out Of Time which is set to be helmed by S Sooriyaprathap in which he will be romancing actress Bhavya Trikha.
