Actor Yogi Babu was last seen on screens in a supporting role in the romantic action movie Takkar which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Karthik G Krish with actor Siddharth in the lead role. The venture did not live up to the expectations of the audience, and thus had a bad commercial business in the box office. The Kolamavu Kokila actor has now put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his next film christened Thookudurai in which he has played the lead part. Actress Ineya has essayed the female lead role. Director Dennis Manjunath has penned and directed the flick. The entertainer which went on floors a while ago with a small pooja ceremony is now done and dusted ready for release.
The production team has now unveiled the teaser of the drama on social media. Taking to their official twitter page, the production house dropped a link to the teaser of Thookudurai, and wrote, “Ultimately fun-tertaining Thookudurai teaser is now streaming.” Here is the tweet made by the production unit.

Nearly one-and-a-half-minute teaser cut opens to a voiceover, “In a village named Kailasam in Kancheepuram district, there is Amman temple that was built by the king long ago. It’s right beneath that deity Amman’s feet, you’ll find this priceless crown. If we somehow steal that crown, we will be settled for generations!” Following which we see a character contest over the crown, “This turban for me but he gets the crown and all respect? I won’t let this festival take place until I get the crown!” Then we learn a team lead by Yogi Babu has come to the village to shoot the festival. The village elders caution them, “Oh! So, you’re the guys from madras who are going to cover this festival? This is a disciplined village. So, behave yourself. Or else you’ll face the consequences.” The scene then cuts to actress Ineya saying to Yogi Babu, “After 12 ‘O’clock, I’ll be there for the movie. Rest, we’ll discuss there.” The teaser has garnered the attention of the audience.
Apart from actors Yogi Babu and Ineya, the casting division of the venture has actors Motta Rajendran, Mahesh Subramaniyan, Sendrayan, Bala Saravanan, Namo Narayanan, Kumki Ashwin, and Marimuthu in various other supporting roles. The musical department of the flick is handed over to music director K S Manoj. Cinematographer Ravi Varma K has cranked the camera for the project. Editor Deepak S Dwaraknath has been roped in to edit the film. Art directors Jai Murugan, and Bhakiya Raj have designed the background for the flick. Stunt masters Monster Rajan, and Ram Kumar have choreographed action blocks for the movie. The entertainer is bankrolled by Aravind Vellaipandian and Anburasu Ganesan along with Vinoth Kumar Thangaraju under the production banner Open Gate Pictures.
On the work front, actor Yogi babu who had his last outing in Takkar is currently busy shooting for his next film christened Aranmanai 4 under the directorial of story teller Sundar C in which he will be collaborating with actor Vijay Sethupathi, for Medical Miracle scripted by K Johnson in which he will be romancing actress Dharsha Gupta, for Haraa filmed by Vijay Sri G in which he will be co starring with actor Mohan, for Saloon directed by Muthukumaran in which he will be sharing screen space with actor Siva, for ThalaiNagaram 2 helmed by V Z Durai in which he will be seen alongside actor Sundar C, and for a Hindi film Jawan under the direction of Atlee in which he will be associating with actors Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Jailer helmed by Nelson in which he will be seen alongside actors Rajinikanth, and Tamannaah, Maaveeran crafted by Madonne Ashwin in which he has associated with actor Sivakarthikeyan, Andhagan filmed by Thiagarajan in which he has co starred with actor Prashanth, Ayalaan scripted by director R Ravikumar in which he has shared screen space with actor Sivakarthikeyan, and Sathuranga Vettai 2 helmed by N V Nirmal Kumar in which he has collaborated with actor Arvind Swamy in different stages of post production getting fine tuned for release.
