Actor Siddharth who ventured into Tamil cinema with an uncredited role in Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal metamorphosed into a lead hero in Boys. The Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru star has not had a solid commercial success in a long while after Jigarthanda. The actor was last seen on screens in the supernatural horror thriller movie Aruvam which hit the theaters under the direction of Sai Sekhar with actress Catherine Tresa in the female lead role. The drama opened to negative reviews from both critics and audience. Thus, could not draw footfalls to the theaters. Now, the actor has put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming venture christened Takkar. Actress Divyansha has portrayed the female lead part. Story teller Karthik G Krish has written and crafted the flick. The entertainer which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a long while back is finally done and dusted all set to hit the screens on 9th of June.

Earlier this year, the production unit had released the teaser of the entertainer. Now they have released the trailer of the movie on social media. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the storyteller dropped a poster from the flick along with a link to the trailer of Takkar, and wrote, “Elated to release the super exciting Takkar trailer. Two minutes of an odd trailer cut opens to a voiceover of actor Siddharth. “Desire operates the world. Our desire will decide our life. To satisfy our desire we need money. To earn it, each has their own path. When that path converges. . .” The scene then cuts to the actor having a conversation with his mother, where he says, “I have dreams. Must earn money. Become wealthy.” His mother interrupts, “Say you are going to make money. But do not say you are going to become wealthy. It is tad scary.” Following which we see actress Divyansha saying to Siddharth, “I will not go home. We can roam around just like this.” To which the actor says, “I do not have money. Even if I have to buy you an idly, I have to sell my kidney.” To which the actress casually responds, “Then steal my chain, you will get money.” Towards the end of the trailer, we witness the actor throw in a punch dialogue, “If you have so much, for eating noodles, then how much a man eating flaky parotta have?” The trailer has had a good reception among the audience, and has engendered huge anticipation on the entertainer.

Apart from actors Siddharth, and Divyansha, the casting department of the flick has actors Yogi Babu, Abimanyu Singh, Munishkanth, and RJ Vigneshkanth depicting various other supporting roles.
