It Is A Wrap For Rajinikanth’s Jailer With Nelson Dilipkumar!

Actor Rajinikanth was last seen in the mass action drama Annaatthe which hit the theaters under the direction of Siruthai Siva with actress Nayanthara in the female lead part. The movie was tagged with negative reviews from both critics and audience. Despite that, it had a decent run in the box office. The Padayappa actor has now moved on, and is getting ready for the release of his next venture christened Jailer. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has depicted the female lead role. Storyteller Nelson Dilipkumar of Beast fame has penned and crafted the movie. The flick which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony in February last year had to be suspended for a brief period due to health issues of actor Rajinikanth. The actor recuperated, and started shooting again. 

The shooting for the project was underway in full swing. Now, we have news that the shoot for the venture is completely over. The production house themselves has announced the news on social media. Taking to their official twitter account, the production team shared a few pictures from the final day of shoot and wrote, “It’s a wrap for Jailer! Theater la sandhippom. Jailer from Aug 10.” Here is the tweet made by the production unit. 

In the pictures shared by the production team we could see the whole team of Jailer celebrating the moment by cutting a huge cake. Jailer is set to hit the theaters on 10th of August this year. It will have a pan Indian release in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The production unit had dropped an announcement video last month. Actor Rajinikanth appeared young and energetic in the video. Thanks to stylist Aalim Hakim’s magical work. The look of the actor has engendered high expectations among the fans of the star. The production team has planned to release the teaser of Jailer in the middle of next month, and subsequently the trailer towards the end of the month. 

Beside actors Rajinikanth and Tamannaah Bhatia, Malayalam superstar Mohan Lal, and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar have essayed pivotal roles in the flick. The casting department of the drama has actors Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Kishore, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Mirna Menon, Naga Babu, Dancer Ramesh, Jaffer Sadiq, Billy Muralee, Sugunthan, Karate Karthi, Mithun, Arshad, Marimuthu, Namo Narayana, Rithvik, Ananth, Saravanan, Aranthaangi Nisha, Mahanadi Shankar, Kalai Arasan, and Sadhu Kokila in various other supporting roles. Music director Anirudh Ravichander will once again be composing music for superstar Rajinikanth’s film after Petta and Darbar. Musician Anirudh Ravichander and filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar have teamed up for the fourth time after Kolamaavu Kokila, Doctor, and Beast. Cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan has been behind the lens for the project. Editor R Nirmal will be trimming the venture. Art director Drk Kiran has designed the background for the entertainer. Action director Stunt Siva has choreographed action blocks for the movie. The drama is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran for his production label Sun Pictures. Chimbu Cine Arts has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the entertainer. 

On the work front, actor Rajinikanth who had his last outing in the mass action drama Annaatthe is currently shooting for a cameo appearance in Lal Salaam directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth in which he will be associating with actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. Following which he will begin to shoot for his upcoming venture tentatively titled Thalaivar 170 under the direction of storyteller T G Gnanavel, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed flick, Jai Bhim. On the other hand, actress Tamannaah Bhatia who was last seen in Action is currently shooting for her upcoming Tamil movie Aranmanai 4 filmed by Sundar C in which she will be collaborating with actor Vijay Sethupathi, for a Telugu flick Bhola Shankar scripted by Meher Ramesh in which she will be co starring with actors Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh, and for a Malayalam film Bandra crafted by storyteller Arun Gopy in which she will be romancing actor Arjun Ashokan. Beside these entertainers, the actress has a Telugu flick That Is Mahalakshmi helmed by storyteller Prasanth Varma in which she will be seen alongside actress Shibani Dandekar, and a Hindi project christened Bole Chudiyan crafted by director Shamas Nawab Siddiqui in which she has collaborated with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the post production stage shaping up for release.
