Second Trailer Of SJ Suriya’s Bommai Is Out!

Actor SJ Suriya was last seen on screen in a cameo appearance in the action-drama Varisu which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Vamshi Paidipally with actor Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The movie did not live up to the expectations of the audience. But had a decent commercial business. The actor has now put that behind him, and is getting ready for the release of his upcoming venture christened Bommai. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has depicted the female lead role in the flick. Director Radha Mohan of Mozhi fame has helmed the drama. Writer Pon Parthiban has assisted with the script of Bommai. The entertainer which went on floors a long while ago is wrapped, and is in the post production getting fine tuned for release. 

The production house has now dropped the second trailer of Bommai on social media along with its release date. Bommai is poised to hit the screens on 16th of June. Storyteller Venkat Prabu has unveiled the trailer. Taking to his official twitter page, the film maker shared the second trailer of Bommai, and wrote, “Happy to release the second trailer of Bommai. Congrats to Radha Mohan saar, young maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja thambi, my favorite S J Suriya saar & team! Do watch Bommai on June 16th in theaters!” Here is the post made by the director. 

Nearly two minutes long trailer cut opens to the making of a mannequin. Later we witness actor SJ Suriya admiring it. He asks the salesguy, “Can you give me that?” He asks back, “Give you what?” SJ Suriya points to the mannequin. The salesman responds in shock, “The doll?” The scene then cuts to a sales girl asking actor SJ Suriya, “You are blushing so much for this, Raju?” Following which we witness the salesman asking SJ Suriya, “What’s so special about it? What’s so special?” Then we have a shot where the actor says, “There is joy in working in a place that you like. When someone you like is at the workplace so much more joyful, right?” The trailer has enjoyed a good reception among the audience. 

Beside actors SJ Suriya, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the casting department of the venture has actors Chandini Tamilarasan, Shine Tom Chacko, and Umesh Kaushik portraying various other supporting roles. Bommai has music by musician Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan has shouldered camera for the movie. Editor Anthony Ruban has been brought on board to trim the flick. Art director K Kadhirr has erected sets for the entertainer. Action director Kanal Kannan has choreographed action blocks for the project. The drama is produced by V Maruthu Pandian along with Jasmine Santhosh, and Dheepa T Durai under the banner house Angel Studios. 

On the work front, actor SJ Suriya who had his last outing in Varisu is currently busy shooting for his upcoming drama titled Jigarthanda Double X directed by film maker Karthik Subbaraj in which he will be co starring with actor Raghava Lawrence, and for a Telugu project christened Game Changer under the direction of S Shankar in which he will be seen alongside actors Ram Charan, and Kiara Advani. Apart from these films, the actor has Mark Anthony scripted by Adhik Ravichandran in which he has shared screen space with actor Vishal, and a couple of his delayed movies in the likes of Uyarndha Manithan filmed by Tamilvannan, and Iravaakaalam crafted by Ashwin Saravanan in the box office shaping up for release. On the other hand, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar who had her last outing in Rudhran is currently busy shooting for Indian 2 helmed by director S Shankar in which she will be associating with actor Kamal Hassan, for DeMonte Colony 2 directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Arulnithi, for a Telugu drama Zebra crafted by Eashvar Karthic in which she will be collaborating with actor Satya Dev, and for a Telugu web series Dootha crafted by Vikram Kumar in which she will be seen alongside actors Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, and Parvathy Thiruvothu.
