Actress Manju Warrier has achieved an unprecedented feat of enjoying an even better career post her reentry than her first phase. The actress bid goodbye to cinema after her marriage with actor Dileep. After her separation she decided to rejuvenate her acting career and since then have been a busy star across regions. She ventured into Tamil cinema with her spectacular performance in Vetrimaaran’s Asuran. Now she will soon be seen on screens in Tamil in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. Director T J Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame has written and crafted the movie. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to open his account in Kollywood with his pivotal part in the drama. The makers have officially announced that Vettaiyan will be out in theaters worldwide on 10th of October. The entertainer will be released in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The production team has been aggressively promoting the film on social media. Now they have unveiled the character of actress Manju Warrier in the entertainer. The actress will be seen in the role named Thara. Taking to their official X handle, the production unit dropped an introduction clip and wrote, “Meet the heart and soul of Vettaiyan. Vettaiyan is said to be an action drama in which actor Rajinikanth is set to sport the character of a cop. The entertainer has been shot in multiple places in the surroundings of Chennai, Tirunelveli, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. The film also brings superstars Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan together nearly after three decades. Their last project together was the Bollywood movie Hum. Their association has created massive expectations on the flick to the degree that the entire Indian cinema industry is waiting to watch them perform together.
Vettaiyan has an ensemble cast that comprises actors Kishore, Ritika Singh, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Rana Daggubati, Rohini, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami, and G M Sundar. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has once again collaborated with Rajinikanth after their sensational albums in Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. Two tracks titled ‘Manasilaayo’ and ‘Hunter Vantaar’ are out from the album. S R Kathir has taken care of the cinematography department of the venture. The editing division of the flick has been handed over to editor Philomin Raj. Art director K Kathir has engineered sets for the movie. Action directors Anbu Arivu duo have choreographed action blocks. The flick is funded by Subaskaran Allirajah for his home banner Lyca Productions.
On the professional front, actress Manju Warrier will next be seen on screens in Viduthalai Part 2 helmed by Vetrimaaran in which she has collaborated with actors Vijay Sethupathi and Soori. Apart from this project, she has Mr. X directed by Manu Anand in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Arya and Gautham Karthik, and a Malayalam drama L2: Empuraan crafted by Prithviraj in which she will be seen alongside actor Mohanlal. On the other hand, currently actor Rajinikanth is in the sets of story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj shooting for Coolie. Actors Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj will be seen in key roles in the project.
