Actor Arjun Das lastly entertained audiences in the musical adventure children film Kumki 2 directed by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in lead roles. The Good Bad Ugly actor will soon have his next release in the digital space via the romantic drama christened Love. Director Balaji Mohan, who previously helmed projects like Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, has crafted the flicks. Writers Shweta Chakravarty, Sharada Subramanian, and Nirmal Williams have written the chapters of the series.
Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi of Thug Life fame has been paired with actor Arjun Das in the series. The project will be released directly on Netflix OTT platform in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. An official release date for the venture is expected to be publicized soon. Meanwhile, the production house has launched the teaser of the entertainer on social media.

One minute teaser of Love opens to actress Aishwarya Lekshmi instructing her app, “Huh . . . Sam! Calculate compatibility between Tara Krishnan and Matthew Jebaraj.” The shot cuts to actor Arjun Das asking her, “So you are okay with a guy with zero chemistry?” She responds, “With good compatibility, chemistry follows naturally.”
In a scene a character asks Aishwarya Lekshmi, “Can a CEO of a dating app be single? What will people think?” Following which we have an individual asking Arjun Das, “Do you even remember the name of the girl you met last night?” He replies, “Does the name matter bro? There is no . . . spark.”
In the subsequent scene actress Aishwarya Lekshmi mouths, “Say you have two jigsaw puzzles, each individual piece feels odd, right? But put them together. For a perfect match. That is compatibility for you.” Arjun Das tells her, “Replace puzzle with magnet. That is chemistry. Be the magnet Tara.”
Earlier talking to a leading daily about the venture, director Balaji Mohan said, “Love is predicated on the classic ‘opposite personalities attract’ theme. But we have infused the modern dating scenario with the advent of dating apps. It will thread on contemporary dating culture while trying to explore compatibility, chemistry, and the messy nature of relationships.”
Actors Arjun Chidambaram, Harini, Kiran, and Raja Rudrakodi have essayed prominent roles in the entertainer. Details regarding the technical crew of the project are expected to be made soon. The series is produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the production banner May6 Entertainment.
