Vibe Check Video From G V Prakash Kumar’s Happy Raj Is Out!

Actor G V Prakash Kumar lastly entertained audiences in the crime thriller Blackmail helmed by Mu Maran with actresses Teju Ashwini and Bindu Madhavi in the female lead roles. The Bachelor actor is now shooting for his next movie christened Happy Raj. Debutant director Maria Raja Elanchezian, erstwhile associate of Pradeep Ranganathan, will make his debut as a film maker in Tamil cinema with the drama. He has also penned the story of the entertainer.

Actress Sri Gouri Priya of Lover fame has been cast as the female lead in the flick. Veteran actor Abbas plays her father in what marks his comeback to Tamil cinema after more than a decade. The production house had recently launched the first look poster of the movie on social media. They have now shared a promo video.

Taking to his official X handle, actor G V Prakash Kumar dropped a special poster along with a link to the vibe check promo video from Happy Raj and worded, “Happy Raj for u all . . . the promo vibe check is here.” Here is the post made by the musician.

The nearly five minutes long video opens to both G V Prakash Kumar and Sri Gouri Priya fighting over a video game, “Hey, you go first!” She responds, “Hey, show some girth, man!” She knocks him out in the game. After which he says, “This should be our last fight.” She replies, “I would not hurt you in a game, baby.”

He becomes excited and says, “So, sweet! If I get married to you . . . I would be the happiest in the world. Just think about our wedding day. Me in the groom’s room. In my dashing groom’s outfit. My entry will be breathtaking. You would be in your bridal room. Alluring in your bridal wear.” She chimes in, “My entry would be magical!” He continues, “Our wedding stage will be prepped with grand decorations. On one side, my relatives and my townsfolk. . .”

She gets upset and intrudes, “Wait! Wait! Where did you say our wedding would be?” He says, “At the temple!” She retorts, “Star hotel!” A frustrated G V Prakash Kumar asks, “How can they wear a dhoti and a shirt to a star hotel?” A serious argument ensues between them on how the marriage should take place. The scene moves to a boxing ring where fathers of them are brought into the picture to fight it out. The video ends with Sri Gouri Priya yelling, “I do not want to play your game. Keep flying SOLO all your life!” He retorts, “I would rather fly SOLO!”

Earlier talking to a leading media house about why he chose to go with the title, director Maria Raja Elanchezian divulged, “There is nothing extraordinary behind it. My intent is to craft an entertainer that makes people profoundly happy. Tamil cinema is used to taking audiences to a euphoric state with mass entertainers that induce adrenaline rush. But of late with the advent of social media, I feel there has been unfiltered negativity, and a sense of despair among people.”

Speaking further he stated, “I felt the need to make a film that would infuse joy and be a counteragent to despair. Even the protagonist in the story is named ‘Happy’. You will hear the name numerous times throughout the film. As it reflects the essence of the plot. I am confident that the audience will experience optimism and have a feeling of positivity when they leave theaters.”

The casting unit of Happy Raj also comprises actors George Mariyam, Devi Mahesh, Prarthna, Sofa Boy Rasool, Adhirchi Arun, and Madurai Muthu. Music director Justin Prabhakaran has been signed in to score music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Madhan Christopher will be behind the lens for the project.

Editor Selva R K has been trusted with the editing division of the movie. Art director Ayyapan will be designing sets for the flick. Stunt master Om Siva Prakash will be engineering action blocks for the entertainer. Happy Raj is produced by Jayavardhanan along with Jaikanth Suresh under the banner house Beyond Pictures.

On the professional side, actor G V Prakash Kumar will next be seen on screens in Adangathey directed by Shanmugam Muthuswamy in which he has romanced actress Surbhi Chandra.

The Ayngaran actor is now simultaneously shooting for many of his ventures in Idi Muzhakkam scripted by Seenu Ramasamy in which he will be performing alongside actress Gayathrie, Immortal crafted by Mariyappan Chinna in which he will be costarring with actress Kayadu Lohar, Mental Manadhil helmed by Selvaraghavan in which he will be collaborating with actress Madhuri Jain, and 13 directed by Vivek K Kannan in which he will be partnering with actors Aadya Prasad, Bhavya Trikha, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
