Actor Pugazh who came to limelight through the reality tv show Cook With Comali is one of the busiest artists in the industry right now. His expressions and dialogue delivery in the first two seasons of the show made him very popular to the extent that he literally became a household name in the state. Eventually, the star comedian ventured to the silver screen with his comical role in Sixer, which hit the screens under the directorial of film maker Chachi with actor Vaibhav in the lead. Unfortunately, the drama did not do well at the box office. Despite that in a quick succession, he got the opportunity to work with actor Ajith in Valimai, Suriya in Etharkkum Thunindhavan, and Karthi in Kaithi.
The actor who had been booking projects as a comedian landed a lead role in his next comedy film titled Mr. Zookeeper. The movie is the adaptation of the blockbuster Hollywood entertainer Zookeeper which had actors Kevin James and Rosario Isabel Dawson in the lead roles. Director J Suresh of Ennavale fame is directing the flick. The unit had been shooting in Ooty for the first schedule of shoot. The first leg of the shoot is wrapped. We had reported the same, also that the team had planned to shoot in the Philippines for the second leg of the shoot. As reported, now the team has left for the Philippines. The actor himself has shared the news on social media. Taking to his official Instagram account, the actor shared a picture of himself from the Philippines to his status with the caption, “Philippines calling.” Here is the picture shared by the actor.
After completing the first schedule of shoot, director J Suresh was full of praises for actor Pugazh. In a tweet he wrote that actor Pugazh is a born artist, and he could recognize it as a filmmaker. He further added, he could handle any sort of character naturally. And finished the note saying that he is proud to call him his brother. The first look of the flick was released on social media a couple of months ago. The poster had actor Pugazh sitting on a chopped off tree branch with a parrot in the hand, and a wild cat to his front. The poster has a great reception among his fans. It is said that the production house is in plans to bring the film to the theaters by the end of this year. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for the flick. Cinematographer Tanveer Mir will be behind the cameras for the entertainer. The drama is bankrolled by Jeba for the production house J4 Studios.
On the work front, actor Pugazh who was last seen on screens in the Suriya Starrer Etharkkum Thunindhavan is currently busy shooting alongside actor Vijay Sethpathi for the project tentatively titled VJS46. Apart from this venture, the actor has Kasethan Kadavulada helmed by R. Kannan in which he has shared the screen space with actor Shiva, Agent Kannayiram under the direction of story teller Manoj Beedha in which he has played the sidekick of actor Santhanam, and Yaanai directed by filmmaker Hari in which he will be seen alongside actor Arun Vijay in the post production stage shaping up for release.
