Actor Ajay Dhishan made his maiden voyage in Tamil cinema last year by playing a supporting part in his uncle Vijay Antony’s Maargan scripted by Leo John Paul. He is all set to headline his sophomore Tamil Telugu bilingual romantic movie titled Pookie. Telugu version of the flick is christened Bookie. Cinematographer Ganesh Chandra will be navigating towards direction with the film. Writer Puthiya Parithi has inked the story, dialogues, and structured the flow of the flick.
Actress R K Dhanusha is set to launch her career in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the project. Veteran actor Pandiarajan has played a key character in the venture. The production team has already announced that the drama will be making its way to theaters worldwide on 13th of February. Earlier they had unveiled the first single and a promo from the movie on social media. They have now dropped the second promo of the entertainer.
Taking to their official X handle, the team of Vijay Antony Film Corporation shared the second promo video from Pookie and wrote, “Lovers chat Her mind decoding. Here’s the 2nd Promo of Pookie. A Vijay Antony Vibe-ical. Ganesh Chandra. Ajay Dhishan, R K Dhanusha. Pookie In Cinemas FEB 13. The nearly two minute second promo of Pookie starts with actress R K Dhanusha texting Ajay Dhishan, “Can we meet?” Ajay Dhishan who is about to smoke reads the text and says to himself, ‘Why is she calling now? I have a party tonight with the guys.’ He then replies, “Sure. Where can we meet?” She responds, “Do you want to come to my home?” Excited Ajay Dhishan swiftly answers, “Home? Why, there is no one in your home?”
She replies, “My dad and mom are out. My grandmother is present.” He enquired, “Won’t she say anything?” She texts back, “She is cool. She is a fan of STR.” He types back, “Nope. Can we meet outside?” She calls him and asks, “Where can we meet?” To which he says, “Coffee shop?” She retorts, “We will over spend there.” He suggests, “Can we go for a bike ride?” She complains, “I have to look at your face and speak.”
He recommends, “Can we go to a movie?” She says, “A bike ride is better.” He suggests, “Then how about a mall?” She expresses, “We would be tempted to see what others are purchasing and what they are wearing.” He then says, “How about a park then?” She again complains, “In a park, everyone will look at us.” He then mentions, “Can I ask if my friend’s room is available?” She replies, “Even a litterbin will stink less.” He then says, “Will your friend’s room be available?”
She retorts, “They will gossip too much.” He then gives up and says, “Fine, then I better come to your home.” She gives him a shock and says, “My grandmother is home.” He asks her in shock, “You said she is cool.” She responds, “She is cool. But you must adjust to her. So let us not meet.” He sighs. She asks him, “Why are you sighing now? You do not have to come and meet me, if it is so difficult for you.” They both fight over it. When he apologizes, she asks him to come over and do so. He then fumes over his situation
Casting crew of the venture also includes Telugu actor Sunil, Radha, Vivek Prasanna, Aaditya Kathir, Lakshmi Manchu, Black Pandi, Aishwarya Ragupathi, Mridhula, Indumathi Manigandan, Anjali, M. J. Shriram, Bigg Boss Sathya, Shiyara Sharmi, Ashwin Ram, Manda Fack, Arun, Shaju, Rajamani Paati, Thanga Prakash, Priyanka, Varun, and Sathya.
Music director Vijay Antony has overseen the musical division of the flick. A number christened ‘Love Advice’ is out from the album. He has also edited the drama. Director Ganesh Chandra has been behind camera for the project.
Art director Pragatheeswaran Paneerselvam has designed the background for the venture. Stunt master Prabhu Jacky has engineered action moves for the entertainer. The film is bankrolled by Vijay Antony himself in association with his wife Fatima Vijay Antony under the production banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation.
On the work front, actor Ajay Dhishan will next be seen on screens in Nooru Saami crafted by Sasi in which he has essayed a supporting character alongside actors Vijay Antony and Kavya Anil.
