Actor Aadhi Pinisetty was last seen on screens in Tamil in the horror thriller film Sabdham helmed by director Arivazhagan Venkatachalam with actress Lakshmi Menon in the female lead part. The Clap actor is now busy shooting for the sequel of his superhit fantasy comedy movie Maragadha Naanayam. He plays the character named Senguttuvan in the drama.
Director Ark Saravan, who was in the director’s cockpit for the first part, has penciled and will be directing the project. Writer Rajesh Kannan has written dialogues for the movie. Actress Nikki Galrani Pinisetty, who played the role named Chanakaya in the first part, will be reprising her part in the second installment as well. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has been brought on board to essay a pivotal role in the flick. The makers have now launched the promo of the film on social media.

One minute promo of Maragadha Naanayam 2 introduces various artists and technicians that are part of the film. Towards the end it has an animated clip of Maragadha Naanayam falling from the sky into what appears to be a small sacred gazebo worshiped by people. Maragadha Naanayam which released in 2017 revolved around a gang lead by Aadhi Pinisetty on a treasure hunt to find the titular antique emerald medallion that belonged to an ancient king Irumporai.
Maragadha Naanayam 2 is touted to be a direct sequel which will pick up from the same story arc. Just like its predecessor, even the second part is planned to be shot in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai. The production house has plans to wrap the shoot for the entertainer by the end of June this year. As they are eyeing to bring the film to theaters in the month of September. It will also simultaneously release in Telugu under the title Marakathamani 2.
Apart from Aadhi Pinisetty, Nikki Galrani Pinisetty, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the casting unit of Maragadha Naanayam 2 also has actors Anandaraj, Sathyaraj, Daniel Annie Pope, Munishkanth, Arunraja Kamaraj, and Muruganandam portraying various supporting characters. Music director Dhibu Ninan Thomas will be returning to score music for the drama.
Cinematographer P V Shankar has been retained to oversee the cinematography department of the venture. Editor Thirumalai Rajan R has been signed in to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director N K Rahul is designing sets for the flick. Action master Phoenix Prabhu is fashioning action moves for the project.
Maragadha Naanayam 2 is bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram under the production label passion Studios in association with Dev under the banner house Axess Film Factory in collaboration with K V Durai under the production company Good Show is affiliation with Manish Singhal under the production house Dangal TV along with Durgaram Choudhary for the production banner RDC Media Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, currently actress Priya Bhavani Shankar is occupied in her next Tamil flick Demonte Colony 3 crafted by story teller Ajay Gnanamuthu in which she will be seen alongside actor Arulnithi Tamilarasu, a couple of Telugu flicks Irumudi scripted by Shiva Nirvana in which she will be romancing actor Ravi Teja, and Aham Brahmasmi filmed by Srikanth N Reddy in which she will be joining forces with actor Manchu Manoj.
