Keerthy Suresh’s Dorothy Teaser: Hints At A Violent And Deeply Emotional Tale!
Actress Keerthy Suresh had her last outing in the crime comedy flick Revolver Rita created by J K Chandru with actors Radhika Sarathkumar, Redin Kingsley, and Sunil in the lead roles. The Saamy Square actress will soon have a release via the upcoming social drama titled Dorothy. Director Karthik Subbaraj, who garnered the attention of audiences with his brilliance in Jigarthanda and Iraivi, has written and helmed the film.
He has sought the assistance of writer Saravanan Chandran to shape the story of the venture. Actors Sananth and Rishikanth have essayed pivotal roles in the project. Filming for the movie happened across various locations in Madurai. The makers have already publicized that the flick will be arriving in theaters on 25th of September. They had recently unveiled the first look poster of the entertainer on social media. They have now launched the teaser of the film.
Taking to his official X timeline, actor Dhanush K Raja dropped a special poster along with a link to the teaser of Dorothy and captioned it, “Happy to unveil the teaser of Dorothy! One minute odd teaser of Dorothy is devoid of dialogue. It opens in a cold silence with a long shot of a sandy road, which slowly turns into a cloud of sand dust as the wind blows. The shot shifts to a serious looking Rishikanth sitting on a rope cot and smoking. A series of jump cuts shows the actor beating up people to a pulp. Subsequently, we have the intro of actor Sananth, dressed in retro style enthusiastically driving his cycle.
Then we have an aerial shot of a wind farm. Following which a boy introduces his friend to someone, “He is my friend, Karthi.” Then we finally have the intro of actress Keerthy Suresh in a white saree. Both Sananth and Rishikanth look at her through a grilled door. The teaser ends with all three of them repeating the word ‘Dorothy’ one after another.
Music director Ilaiyaraaja has composed music for the entertainer. Cinematographer S Thirunavukkarasu has been behind the lens for the flick. Editor Ganesh Siva has been hired to work in the editing department of the movie. Art director Jyothish Keshav has designed sets for the project. Action director Dinesh Subbarayan has choreographed action moves in the drama.
The film is backed by Karthik Subbaraj himself under his home production Dhammam Films, in association with Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain under the production studio Sikhya Entertainment, along with Jyoti Deshpande for the production company Jio Studios.
On the work front, actress Keerthy Suresh is expecting a release in multiple languages, in Tamil via Sathyavan Savithiri scripted by Praveen S in which she has starred with actors Mysskin & Shilpa Manjunath, in Telugu via Rowdy Janardhana helmed by Ravi Kiran Kola in which she has worked with actors Vijay Deverakonda & Rashmika Mandanna, and in Hindi via Raftaar created by Aditya Nimbalkar in which she has romanced actor Rajkumar Rao.
The Penguin actress is now busy with her next Tamil drama Kannivedi filmed by Ganesh Raj in which she will be joining forces with actors Rakshan & Namita Krishnamurthy, a Malayalam film Thottam crafted by Rishi Sivakumar in which she will be featuring alongside actor Antony Varghese, an untitled Telugu flick directed by Anil Ravipudi in which she will be collaborating with actors Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Venkatesh, & Krithi Shetty, and a Hindi movie No Entry 2 helmed by Anees Bazmee in which she will be seen alongside actors Arjun Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Kriti Sanon.
