Actor Natarajan Subramaniam aka Natty was last seen on screens in the crime thriller film Infinity which hit the theaters under director Sai Karthik with actress Vidya Pradeep in the female lead role. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews from critics and audience. Hence, it could not draw much footfalls to the theaters. The actor has now put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his next movie christened Web. Story teller Haroon D H has written and directed the venture. Actress Shilpa Manjunath has played the female lead role in the movie. The project which went on floors way back with a small pooja ceremony is now wrapped and is in the post production stage shaping up to hit the screens.
The production house has now released the trailer of the movie on social media along with its release date. Web is slated to hit the screens on 4th of August this year. Film maker Haroon D H himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter page, the director dropped a link to the trailer of Web, and wrote, “Web Tamil movie official trailer is out now. Two minutes long trailer cut opens to a voiceover, “Last month in a similar manner three women have gone missing. This has also happened in the same pattern.” The visuals present us with a gruesome murder. Following which we have a character shouting, “Abhi . . . Abhi what are you doing inside?” We witness the actress rolling a joint. Then we get a few shots of the actress partying and doing drugs with her friends. We also have glimpses of actor Natarajan Subramaniam showering his love on a girl who appears to be his sister. There is a shot where actress Shilpa Manjunath announces in her office, “We are going to conduct a party.” To which someone from the management says, “First work properly on weekdays. Then you can go to a party on the weekend.” The actress retorts with, “I work for the company not for you, okay?” Second half of the trailer takes a serious tone. We see the actress along with her girl gang kept as captives in a room. The actress wakes up and says, “Maha, Hey Deepa. What place is this? We are kidnapped.” Actor Natty walks in with a piece of steel. Actress Shilpa Manjunath shouts at him, “Who are you man? What do you want?” The trailer is yet to garner the attention of the audience.
Web is billed as a psycho thriller drama. Apart from actors Natarajan Subramaniam, and Shilpa Manjunath, the casting department of the venture has actors Motta Rajendran, Murali, Ananya Mani, Shaasvi Bala, Subhapriya Malar, Nandhini Madesh, and Bharatha Naidu portraying various other supporting roles. Music director Karthick Raja has been roped in to compose music for the project. Cinematographer Christopher Joseph has been behind camera for the movie. Editor Sudharsan R has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the flick. Art director Arun Shankar Durai has erected sets for the entertainer. Action director Fire Karthick has choreographed action blocks for the project. The drama is produced by V M Munivelan for his home banner Velan Productions.
On the work front, actor Natarajan Subramaniam who was last seen on screens in Infinity is currently busy shooting for his next venture titled Kanguva under the direction of story teller Siruthai Siva in which he will be seen in a supporting part alongside actors Suriya, and Disha Patani, and Maharaja filmed by Nithilan Swaminathan in which he will be collaborating with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, and Mamta Mohandas. On the other hand, actress Shilpa Manjunath who had her last outing in Tamil in Perazhagi ISO is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Kannada flick Ranga BE, MTech directed by film maker Nagesh in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Vicky Varun. Apart from these ventures, the actress has a Telugu project titled Hide And Seek helmed by Basi Reddy Rana in which she will be seen alongside actors Vishwanth and Rhea Sachdeva in the post production stage getting fine tuned for release.
