Actress Nayanthara lastly had a release in the digital space via the psychological sports thriller Test crafted by S Sashikanth with actors Siddharth, Meera Jasmine, and Madhavan in the lead roles. The Connect actress is now occupied in her next fantasy comedy movie Mookuthi Amman 2. Story teller Sundar C has helmed the entertainer. He has co-written the entertainer with writer Venkat Raghavan.
Kannada actor Duniya Vijay will make his debut in Tamil cinema with a pivotal role in the film. Actress Regina Cassandra has depicted a key part in the drama. The entertainer is made with a whooping 100 crore budget. The venture went under production earlier this year. Now we have news that the shoot for the flick has been wrapped. The makers themselves have announced the news on social media.

Nearly two minutes of behind the scenes video opens to actress Regina Cassandra introducing us to the sets of Mookuthi Amman 2. Then Kannada actor Duniya Vijay introduces himself and informs that this is his first Tamil movie. Subsequently all artists in the entertainer share their experience of working on the project.
Mookuthi Amman 2 is said to be a standalone film. The first installment of the project was directed by RJ Balaji. Earlier, it was rumored that he wanted to replace actress Nayanthara with Trisha Krishnan in the second part. However, the production unit announced that director Sundar C will direct the second installment of the franchise.
Besides Nayanthara, Regina Cassandra, and Duniya Vijay, the star cast of Mookuthi Amman 2 also has actors Yogi Babu, Suneel, Nithin Sathya, Urvashi, Abhinaya, Iniya, Ramachandra Raju, Garuda Raam, Singampuli, Ajay Ghosh, Vichu Viswanath, and Myna Nandini portraying various supporting characters. Actresses Khushbu Sundar and Sneha will be seen in cameo roles.
Music director Hiphop Tamizha has been roped in to handle musical gears for the flick. It is his seventh collaboration with director Sundar C after their sensational albums in Aambala, Aranmanai 2, Kalakalappu 2, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, Action, and Aranmanai 4.
Cinematographer Gopi Amarnath has overseen the cinematography division of the entertainer. Editor Fenny Oliver has been brought on board to bring coherence to the flick. Art director Gururaj has fashioned background for the drama. Action director Rajashekar has choreographed action blocks for the movie.
Mookuthi Amman 2 is funded by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner house Vels Film International along with Sundar C and Khushbu Sundar under the production label Avani Cinemax Pvt in association with Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan for the banner house Rowdy Pictures.
On the professional front, actress Nayanthara will soon have her next release via Mannangatti Since 1960 filmed by Dude Vicky, and a Tamil Malayalam bilingual drama Dear Students helmed by director Sandeep Kumar in which she has shared screen space with actor Nivin Pauly.
The Iraivan actress is currently busy shooting for her future ventures Rakkayie crafted by Senthil Nallasamy, Hi directed by Vishnu Edavan in which she has joined forces with actor Kavin, a Malayalam flick Patriot scripted by Mahesh Narayanan in which she will be partnering with actors Mammootty, Mohanlal, & Fahadh Faasil, a couple of Telugu entertainers Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu filmed by Anil Ravipudi in which she will be romancing actor Chiranjeevi, and NBK 111 helmed by Gopichand Malineni in which she will be costarring with actor Nandamuri Balakrishna.
