Actor Vijay Sethupathi lastly entertained audiences in the romantic action-comedy movie Thalaivan Thalaivii scripted by director Pandiraj with Malayalam actress Nithya Menen in the female lead role. The Jawan actor is now getting ready for the release of his next project titled Train. Director Mysskin has penned and crafted the film. Train marks the first collaboration of Mysskin and Vijay Sethupathi.
Actress Shruthi Haasan will be seen in the female lead part in the flick. Kannada actress Ira Dayanand will be opening her account in Tamil cinema with her prominent role in the movie. The film is currently in the post production stage. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon. The makers had released the first look poster of the movie earlier this year. They have now unveiled the first single from the album on social media.
Taking to their official X account, music label Saregama South shared a small clip of actress Shruthi Haasan crooning the song along with a link to the lyrical video of ‘Kannakuzhikaaraa’ from train and wrote, “A Love Breeze! Actress Shruthi Haasan has lent her voice for the track. Lyricist Kavi Kabilan has penned lyrics for the song. The number is mixed and mastered by Tapas Nayak. Story teller Mysskin has once again brought out the musician in him via the project. He made his debut as a music director in actor Vidharth’s Devil.
Train is hyped to be a time bound thriller set to predominantly unfold inside a train revolving around daily commuters. Star cast of the entertainer also includes actors Nasser, Sampath Raj, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Yugi Sethu, K S Ravikumar, Singampuli, Vincent Ashokan, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Shaji, Thrigun Arun, Ajay Ratnam, Kaniha, Ganesh Venkatraman, Preethy Karan, Komagan, Suresh Chandra Menon, G R Aathithyaa, Selvaah Chandrasekhar, Rohan, Janany, and Diya Sharma.
Cinematographer Fowzia Fathima has worked on the cinematography department of the drama. Editor Sri Watson has been bestowed with the responsibilities to chop and patch the flick. Art director Mohana Mahendran has designed sets for the venture. Action director Sudheesh has choreographed action moves for the project. The film is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his home production V Creations.
On the professional front, actor Vijay Sethupathi will soon have a release in Pisasu 2 also scripted by director Mysskin in which he has teamed up with actresses Andrea Jeremiah & Poorna, and his maiden Tamil web series Kaattaan helmed by M Manikandan in which he has shared screen space with actors Milind Soman & Balaji Shaktivel. The Ace actor is now focused on his upcoming films Arasan directed by auteur Vetri Maaran in which he will be seen alongside actor Silambarasan, and an untitled pan Indian drama filmed by Telugu director Puri Jagannadh in which he will be joining forces with Bollywood actress Tabu and Kannada actor Duniya Vijay.
On the other hand, actress Shruthi Haasan is now eagerly awaiting the release of the most anticipated flick Jana Nayagan helmed by director H Vinoth in which she has partnered with actors Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, & Gautham Vasudev Menon. The 7 Aum Arivu actress is presently occupied in her next Telugu movie titled Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam filmed by story teller Prashanth Neel in which she will be reuniting with actors Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
