‘World Of Baththa’ Promo From Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa Is Power-Packed!

Actor Vijay Sethupathi had his last outing in the digital space via the action crime series Muthu Engira Kaattaan scripted by M Manikandan with Bollywood actor Milind Soman in the lead role. The Ace actor will soon grace the silver screens via the period film christened Baththa. Director Balaji Tharaneetharan, who has collaborated with actor Vijay Sethupathi in the past for Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi, has penned and directed the movie. 

Writer Karan Karki is credited with writing the drama’s dialogue. Actress Lijomol Jose of Jai Bhim fame has starred as the leading lady in the entertainer. Baththa is all set to release in cinemas worldwide on 1st of October. The makers are busy with the film’s final promotional push. As part of it, they have now released a promo video titled ‘World Of Baththa’ on social media. 

Taking to his official X timeline, actor Vijay Sethupathi himself launched a special poster along with a link to the ‘World Of Baththa’ promo for Baththa and worded, “Experience the power-packed World Of Baththa now. Written & Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan. A Sai Abhyankkar musical. Baththa From Oct 1. Lijomol Jose, Muthuraj Thangavel, Selva Kumar S K, R Kalaivanan, Shruthi Manjari, Gopi Prasannaa, Atlee, Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Ashwin, Akanksha, Karthik R Iyer, Shal, Mohan Ganasan, Star Studio18, A For Apple, Cine1 Studios, Yuvraaj, Think Music India, Netflix India, Vijay Television, Mukesh Ratilal Mehta, Baththa.” Here is the post made by the actor. 

The two-minute World Of Baththa promo begins with jump cuts establishing actor Vijay Sethupathi as a local gangster. Subsequently, a girl cries to her mom asking, “Dad will be back, right? I am getting scared, Ma.” Then, we have a character saying, “My brother will come.” The shot shifts to a child describing Vijay Sethupathi, “Everyone is petrified of him, but he is not scared of anything.”

In a scene an individual suspects, “It is evident that something bad is going to happen in the area.” Following which actress Lijomol Jose asks Vijay Sethupathi, “Where do we have to search for you?” He casually responds, “You should not search for me. I will be found on my own.” The promo ends with him smashing down a locked wooden door, walking out of the room, kissing the ring on his finger, and mouthing, “Baththa.”

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Lijomol Jose, the casting crew of the entertainer also has actors Santhy Balachandran, Sahasra Sree, Vishnu Govindhan, Arjun Chidabaram, Hari Krishnan, and Ajay Ghosh in various supporting roles. Music director Sai Abhyankkar has been contracted to compose music for the movie. Already a soundtrack ‘Magale’ in the voice of Sai Abhyankkar & Harini lyrics penned by Karthik Netha, is out from the album. Cinematographer Selva Kumar S K has been behind the lens for the project. 

Editor R Kalaivanan has been roped in to oversee the editing division of the venture. Art director Kannan S has designed sets for the film. Stunt directors Stunt Siva, Kevin Kumar, and U Pruthvi have engineered action moves in the flick. The entertainer is produced by Murad Khetani under the production house Cine1 Studios, in association with Priya Atlee under the production studio A For Apple, along with Ajit Andhare and Alok Jain under the production banner Star Studio18. 

On the work front, actor Vijay Sethupathi will soon grace the screen in a special cameo in Jailer 2 filmed by Nelson Dilipkumar in which he will be seen alongside actors Rajinikanth & S J Suryah, Train helmed by Mysskin in which he has performed with actress Shruti Haasan, Pisasu 2 also crafted by Mysskin in which he has partnered with actresses Andrea Jeremiah & Poorna, and a Telugu movie SlumDog: 33 Temple Road scripted by Puri Jagannadh in which he has costarred with actress Wamiqa Gabbi. The Maharaja actor is now absorbed in his future venture Arasan directed by Vetrimaaran in which he will be collaborating with actors Silambarasan & Andrea Jeremiah, Inji Vellam created by Mani Ratnam in which he will be featuring with actress Sai Pallavi, and Pocket Novel filmed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja in which he will be joining forces with actors Kishore, Raj B Shetty, & Malavika Mohanan. 

On the other hand, actress Lijomol Jose is now anticipating her upcoming Tamil release Kaagangal helmed by Anand Annamalai in which she has teamed up with actor Yogi Babu, two of her Malayalam releases Aja Sundari directed by Manu Antony in which she has shared screen space with actor Joju George, and Annapoorni crafted by Lional Joshua in which she has appeared alongside actors Rajeev Gandhi & Hari Krishnan.
