Title Teaser Of Vijay Sethupathi’s Inji Vellam Is Here!
Actor Vijay Sethupathi had his last outing in the digital space via the action crime series Muthu Engira Kaattaan filmed by M Manikandan with Bollywood actor Milind Soman in the lead role. The Kadaisi Vivasayi actor is currently busy shooting for his next romantic drama titled Inji Vellam. Story teller Mani Ratnam, who previously worked with actor Vijay Sethupathi in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, is directing the venture. He is also credited with the story of the entertainer.
Actress Sai Pallavi has been paired with actor Vijay Sethupathi for the first time in her career. It is also her first collaboration with auteur Mani Ratnam. The production house has set January 2027 as the release window for the flick. So far, two shooting schedules have been completed for the project in Kolkata and Pondicherry. The third schedule of the shoot is currently underway in Chennai. Meanwhile, the makers have now released the title teaser of the entertainer on social media.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Vijay Sethupathi himself shared the title teaser of Inji Vellam and wrote, “Inji Vellam. The 30 seconds odd title teaser of Inji Vellam starts with a note, ‘Life is rarely black and white. It unfolds in a million colors.’ Then, we witness a vivid, colorful montage that captures Kolkata’s everyday locales and people from all walks of life. The title teaser ends with a close-up shot of actor Vijay Sethupathi’s left eye, followed by actress Sai Pallavi’s right eye.
The casting team is tightlipped about the rest of the actors that would round out the cast. An official list of artists in the entertainer is expected to be announced soon. Oscar recipient A R Rahman has been hired to handle musical gear for the entertainer. Inji Vellam marks the duo’s eighteenth collaboration. Cinematographer Avik Mukhopadhayay is overseeing the cinematography division of the movie.
Editor A Sreekar Prasad has been brought on board to work on the editing department of the film. Art director Sharmishta Roy is fashioning sets for the drama. Action director Dhilip Subbarayan is engineering action moves in the movie. Inji Vellam is backed by Mani Ratnam himself along with Siva Ananth under the production company Madras Talkies, in association with Subaskaran for the production banner Lyca Productions.

The Ace star is now engrossed in his next film Arasan scripted by Vetrimaaran in which he will be teaming up with actors Silambarasan & Andrea Jeremiah, and Pocket Novel created by Thiagarajan Kumararaja in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Kishore, Malavika Mohanan, & Raj B Shetty.
