Gautham Ram Karthik’s Bloody Politics Teaser: An Uphill Battle Of A Political Outsider!
Actor Gautham Ram Karthik had his last outing in the spy action thriller Mr. X crafted by Manu Anand with actors Arya, Anagha, and Manju Warrier in the lead roles. The Yutha Satham actor is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming action thriller christened Bloody Politics. Newbie director Dhina Raghavan, erstwhile associate of director Raju Murugan, has penned and helmed the flick. Raju Murugan has served as the dialogue writer for the film.
Actress Anchana Nethrun of Dark fame will be seen in the female lead role in the entertainer. Director Selvaraghavan has essayed a prominent part in the venture. Filming for Bloody Politics predominantly took place in and around the neighborhoods of South Chennai. Earlier, the makers had unveiled the title teaser of the movie on social media. They have now launched the teaser of the venture.
Taking to his official X profile, actor Vijay Sethupathi shared a special poster along with a link to the teaser of Bloody Politics and worded, “Unveiling the teaser of Bloody Politics, wishing my dear Gautham Karthik, a very Happy Birthday! The nearly two minute teaser of Bloody Politics opens with a teacher asking one of his students, “Ilaya, what do you want to be?” He responds, “Sir, I want to be a politician.” The whole class starts laughing. Then we have a voiceover, “That is exactly why they will laugh. The days of know-it-alls becoming leaders are over. Now, the one everyone knows becomes the leader. Go for it, Ilaya. Make your mark.”
In a scene actor Gautham Ram Karthik tells his mom, “A ward is a crucial step in politics. From there, you become a councilor, then an MLA, and keep rising.” Then a character says, “Even the watchman’s son gets party posts and puts up flagpoles like he owns the place. Damn, why can’t we do it?” Someone responds, “These days, even politicians need an IT wing to make it to the top. Even if Arignar Anna came back today, he would not win without Prashant Kishor.”
We finally have the intro of Selvaraghavan who enunciates, “In Taramani, you say ‘party,’ you think of Gnanavel. You say ‘Gnanavel,’ you think of a party.” Subsequently, P Vasu tells his wife, “If people like us, the working poor enter politics, it will swallow us whole.” The teaser ends with actor Gautham Ram Karthik mouthing, “Guys like us know exactly what we want to become. But no one teaches us how to get there. We have to fight for it. Get knocked down. Get back up. And fight our way to the top.”
The ensemble cast of Bloody Politics also comprises actors A Venkatesh, Lenin Bharathi, Robbie, Aditya Kathir, V I S Jayapalan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, P Vasu, Divya Krishnan, Bakkiyam Sankar, Ashiq, and Indhumathi Manikandan. Music director Sam C S has orchestrated the musical score for the movie. He reunites with actor Gautham Ram Karthik for their second project following their collaboration in Mr Chandramouli.
Cinematographer Pratheep Kaliraja has shouldered camera for the flick. Editor Deepak S has been roped in to edit the film. Art director Tha Ramalingam has erected sets for the project. Stunt director Abishek Srinivas has fashioned action moves in the entertainer. Bloody Politics is backed by Ganesh K Babu along with Sanjay Muthukumar V under the production studio Draft By GKB.
On the work side, actor Gautham Ram Karthik is expecting successive releases in ROOT – Running Out Of Time created by S Sooriyaprathap in which he has teamed up with actress Bhavya Trikha, Criminal filmed by Dakshina Moorthy Ramar in which he has featured with actors Sarath Kumar & Janani, Sippai helmed by Saravanan in which he has starred alongside actresses Lakshmi Menon & Vibha Natarajan, and an OTT release via Legacy scripted by Charukesh Sekar in which he has associated with actors Madhavan, Swasika Vijay, & Nimisha Sajayan. The Rangoon actor is now busy shooting for his next untitled film directed by Chinnasamy Ponnaiah in which he will be joining forces with actresses Ananthika Sanilkumar & Abhirami.
