Thadayam 2 Promo: Samuthirakani Is Elevated To The Rank Of Inspector In Season Two!

Actor Samuthirakani recently had a release in the musical drama film Charukesi helmed by Suresh Krissna with actors Y Gee Mahendran, Suhasini Maniratnam, and Ramya Pandian in the lead roles. The Carmeni Selvam actor is now gearing up for a release in the digital space via the investigative crime thriller Thadayam 2. Story teller Navinkumar Palanivel, who directed the first season, has also penned and helmed the second. 

Malayalam actress Sshivada of Nedunchaalai fame has reprised her role from the first season as inspector Lakshmi. Thadayam 2 will soon be available for streaming on ZEE5 OTT platform. An official release date for the entertainer is expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the production house has begun to promote the series. As part of it, they have now released a promo video for the entertainer on social media. 

Taking to their official X account, the team of ZEE5 Tamil launched the promo video for Thadayam 2 and captioned it, “The thriller hunt returns with Inspector Adhiyaman in Thadayam 2. Get ready for another thrilling investigation On Tamil Zee 5. . . Thadayam 2, Tamil Zee 5, Zee 5.” Here is the post made by the OTT platform. 

The two minutes odd trailer of Thadayam begins with the voiceover of actor Samuthirakani, “At a time when continuing to work in the department had become a question mark, a case that changed my life. This is the second chapter of my life. It will continue as Inspector Athiyamaan.” Set in 1999, the first season of the series follows a sub-inspector and his superior as they investigate a chilling string of ritualistic murders involving stolen mangalsutras, igniting widespread social and psychological tension. 

Apart from Samuthirakani and Sshivada, the casting crew of the series also has actors Raj Tirandasu, Munnar Ramesh, Suparna Sajeesh, Sundharpandyan, Prem, Kotravai, Abhishek Joseph George, Vishakan, and Pulipandi in various supporting roles. Malayalam music director Vibin Baskar has been brought on board to handle musical gear for the project. 

Cinematographers KK and Mohankumar Palanivel have worked in tandem to capture the series. Editor Dinesh Kumar has been roped in to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director G Durairaj has fashioned sets for the venture. Stunt master Abishek Srinivas has designed action blocks in the series. Thadayam 2 is bankrolled by Ajey Krishna under the production label Cocktail Cinemas. 

On the work side, actor Samuthirakani is enthusiastically anticipating his next release in Appa 2 headlined and directed by himself with actors Gabriella Charlton and J Vignesh in lead roles. The Vinodhaya Sitham actor is now engrossed in his next flick Arasan filmed by Vetrimaaran in which he will be costarring with actors Silambarasan, Vijay Sethupathi, & Andrea Jeremiah, Irulan scripted by M Muthaiah in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Arun Vijay & John Kokken, and Ivan Thanthiran 2 crafted by R Kannan in which he will be performing with actors Sindhu Priya & Jagan. 

On the other hand, actress Sshivada is staring at consecutive releases in Iravaakaalam created by Ashwin Saravanan in which she has worked with actors Sharath Ravi & Wamiqa Gabbi, and an untitled flick helmed by Dharani Rajendran in which she has collaborated with actors Sasikumar & Bhavani Sre. The Kayilan actress is now busy with her next untitled Tamil drama filmed by Prem Kumar in which she will be romancing actor Fahadh Faasil, and a Malayalam film L3 crafted by Prithviraj Sukumaran in which she will be joining forces with actors Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, & Pranav Mohanlal.
