‘Kon Varuvaan’ Second Single From Karthi’s Sardar Is Here!
Actor Karthi had his last outing in the action-comedy film Vaa Vaathiyaar crafted by Nalan Kumarasamy with actress Krithi Shetty in the female lead role. The Paiyaa actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming spy action thriller flick Sardar 2. Director P S Mithran, who helmed the first installment, has also directed the second part. Writers Rathna Kumar, Aashameera Aiyappan, and Vignesh Muniyandi have conceptualized the movie’s story. Screenwriter Nambi has helped structure the movie’s pacing.
Actresses Malavika Mohanan of Master fame, and Ashika Ranganath of Pattathu Arasan fame have portrayed the female lead roles in the drama. The shoot for the venture took place in Chennai, Madurai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bangkok, and Luton. Sardar 2 is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on 10th of September. The makers are aggressively promoting the flick with a teaser, singles, and late-stage interviews. They have now dropped the second single from the album on social media.
Taking to their official X profile, the team of Sony Music South India released a small clip along with a link to the second single ‘Kon Varuvaan’ from Sardar 2 and wrote, “Kon Varuvaan. Singers Alexandra Joy and Sublashini have sung the song. Lyricist Vivek has penned lyrics for the track. The number is mixed and mastered by Abin Paul. Music composer Sam C S has orchestrated the musical score for the movie. Already a single ‘Mayil Veera’ in the vocals of Singers ofRo, Vaaheesan Rasaiya, & Mukesh lyrics written by Kaadi and Vaaheesan Rasaiya, is out from the album.
The trailer for Sardar 2, which was released earlier, showed the secret service turning to Karthi to avert a national crisis, and ended with a fun nod from S J Suryah, who proudly calls himself a fanboy eagerly waiting for Karthi. The casting unit of Sardar 2 also comprises actors S J Suryah, Rajisha Vijayan, Yogi Babu, Nassar, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Babu Antony, Devadarshini, Chinni Jayanth, Achyuth Kumar, Jean Paul Lal, and Nizhalgal Ravi.
Cinematographer George C Williams has shouldered camera for the film. Editor Vijay Velukutty has been contracted to edit the flick. Art directors MSP Madhavan and B Sekar have engineered the background for the movie. Stunt directors Dhilip Subbarayan and Chethan D’Souza have choreographed action blocks in the drama. Sardar 2 is funded by S Lakshman Kumar and Ishan Saksena under the banner house Prince Pictures, in collaboration with A Venkatesh for the production label Ivy Entertainment.
On the professional front, actor Karthi is currently absorbed in his next venture Marshal filmed by Thamizh in which he will be partnering with actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, two films tentatively titled Karthi 30 helmed by Kalyan Shankar in which he will be associating with actress Meenakshi Chaudhary, Karthi 31 directed by Mohan Raja, and a Telugu venture Hit: The Fourth Case crafted by Sailesh Kolanu.
On the other hand, actress Malavika Mohanan is presently busy with her next Tamil movie Pocket Novel scripted by Thiagarajan Kumararaja in which she will be performing with actor Vijay Sethupathi. Actress Ashika Ranganath is anticipating her next Telugu release Vishwambhara directed by Mallidi Vasishta in which she has co-starred with actors Chiranjeevi & Trisha Krishnan.
