Actor Suriya was last seen on screens in the romantic action thriller Retro crafted by Karthik Subbaraj with actress Pooja Hegde as female lead. The Jai Bhim actor will soon have his next release in the Tamil Telugu bilingual romantic film titled Vishwanath And Sons. Telugu story teller Venky Atluri, who previously crafted actor Dhanush’s Vaathi, has inked and helmed the project. Writer Vijayakumar has written dialogues for the movie.
Actress Mamitha Baiju of Dude fame has been paired with the actor for the first time in her career in the drama. The shoot for the project took place across multiple locations in Chennai, Hyderabad, Belarus, and parts of Europe. The production house is eying to release the flick in summer. They have now shared the teaser of the venture on social media.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Suriya himself unveiled a couple of special posters along with links to Tamil & Telugu version teaser of Vishwanath And Sons and worded, “Every love story doesn’t start at the beginning! Vishwanath And Sons – Teaser. Tamil – Telugu – Venky Atluri, G V Prakash Kumar, Nimish Ravi, Mamitha Baiju, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sithara Entertainments.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The nearly two minute teaser of Vishwanath And Sons opens to a voiceover, “Sanjay Vishwanath has claimed victory in numerous pistol competitions. But things are different now. Eye fitness in your forties is not the same as it was in your twenties.” In the visuals we see actor Suriya winning many accolades for the nation in shooting competitions. The shot cuts to him introducing actress Mamitha Baiju, “This is Maddy.”
We witness the actress describing what her perfect life would be, “A big farmhouse, a lavish lifestyle, and spending however I please.” In a scene, actor Suriya gets philosophical, “The moment our ego tells us we are the greatest. God humbles us and reminds us there is always someone above.” Subsequently, he tells actress Mamitha Baiju, “Do not get too attached. You will only end up getting hurt.”
We learn the issue in the relationship when actor Suriya expresses his concern to someone, “She is 20 years younger than me.” In a shot we see him counseling her, “One snap of your fingers and boys your age will come running.” She responds, “If you want, I will snap mine a few times. Why do not you fall instead? That is all I need.”
Besides Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, the star cast of Vishwanath And Sons also has Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Bhavani Sre, Rajkamal Shefi, and Bjorn Surrao depicting various supporting roles. Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has been contracted to score music for the venture. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi has overseen the cinematography department of the flick.
Editor Navin Nooli has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the venture. Art directors Shiva Kamesh D and Jithu Sebastian have worked in tandem to erect sets for the entertainer. Stunt director Venkat has designed action blocks for the film. Vishwanath And Sons is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the production label Sithara Entertainments along with Sai Soujanya for the production banner Fortune Four Cinemas. Radha Krishna of Srikara Studios will be presenting the entertainer.
On the professional front, actor Suriya will next be seen on screens in Karuppu, crafted by RJ Balaji in which he has romanced actress Trisha Krishnan. The Kanguva actor in now working on his next project tentatively christened Suriya 47 directed by Jithu Madhavan in which he will be costarring with actress Nazriya Nazim, Rolex scripted by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be featuring alongside actors Vijay Sethupathi & Arjun Das, and Vaadivaasal filmed by Vetrimaaran.
On the other hand, actress Mamitha Baiju is awaiting the release of Jana Nayagan crafted by H Vinoth in which she has associated with actors Vijay & Pooja Hegde, Kara scripted by Vignesh Raja in which she has collaborated with actor Dhanush, and Irandu Vaanam directed by Ram Kumar in which she has performed alongside actor Vishnu Vishal. The actress is now occupied in a couple of her Malayalam films Premalu 2 filmed by Girish A D in which she will be seen alongside actor Naslen, and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit helmed by Girish A D in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Nivin Pauly.
