Actor Vijay had a release in 2024 via the action thriller GOAT – The Greatest Of All Time directed by Venkat Prabhu with actress Meenakshi Chaudhary as female lead. The Bigil actor is now getting ready for the last release of his career in the political action thriller Jana Nayagan. Director H Vinoth, who delivered blockbusters with actor Ajith Kumar in Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimai, and Thunivu has penned and crafted the project.
Actress Pooja Hegde, who romanced actor Vijay in Beast, has once again played his pair in the drama. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol of Animal fame has portrayed the baddie in the venture. The film is made with a whooping 300 crore budget. Jana Nayagan was shot in various areas of Chennai, Chengalpattu, Sivagangai, and Erode. The makers are aggressively promoting the flick by sharing various snaps and dropping singles from the album. They have now released the fourth track on social media.
Taking to their official X account, team of KVN Productions launched a special poster along with a link to the fourth single ‘Raavana Mavandaa’ from Jana Nayagan and wrote, “Vasanamaa ezhudhalaam avan kadha adhukkellaam mela . . . Raavana Mavandaa is here. Jana Nayagan, Jana Nayagan Pongal, Jana Nayagan From Jan 9. Musician Anirudh Ravichander has sung the track. Lyricist Vivek has penned lyrics for the song. The number is mixed and mastered by Vinay Sridhar and M Srinivasan. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has handled musical gears for the film. It is his fifth collaboration with actor Vijay following their chartbuster albums in Kaththi, Master, Beast, and Leo.
Already three tracks ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’ penned by Arivu in the vocals of Vijay, Anirudh Ravichander, & Arivu, ‘Oru Pere Varalaaru’ written by Vivek crooned by Vishal M Mishra & Anirudh Ravichander, and ‘Chella Magale’ in the lyrics of Vivek sung by Anirudh Ravichander is already out from the album.
One minute odd glimpse video that was out earlier had a political punch, ‘A true leader rises not for power, but for the people. Let us rise together.’ Jana Nayagan is slated to hit theaters worldwide as a festive release for Pongal, 9th of January in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
Casting unit of Jana Nayagan also includes Mamitha Baiju of Dude fame, Narain, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Shruti Haasan, Revathi, Jason Shah, Baba Bhaskar, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Reba Monica John, Teejay Arunasalam, Monisha Blessy, Sandeep Raviraj, Nizhalgal Ravi, Srinath, Lithanya, Irfan Zaini, and Arun Kumar Rajan. Cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan has operated cameras for the film.
Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been contracted to work on the editing department of the flick. Art director Selva Kumar has engineered sets for the entertainer. Stunt master Anl Arasu has designed action blocks for the project. Jana Nayagan is backed by Venkat K Narayana along with Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith N K under the production company KVN Productions.
On the work side, actress Pooja Hegde is presently focused on her upcoming Tamil film Kanchana 4 helmed and headlined by Raghava Lawrence with actress Nora Fatehi in the second female lead role, an untitled Telugu flick crafted by Ravi Nelakuditi in which she will be romancing actor Dulquer Salmaan, and a Bollywood movie Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai scripted by David Dhawan in which she will be partnering with actors Varun Dhawan & Mrunal Thakur.
On the other hand, actress Mamitha Baiju is now busy shooting for her future Tamil project tentatively christened Suriya 46 directed by Venky Atluri in which she will be featuring alongside actor Suriya, a venture tentatively titled D 54 crafted by Vignesh Raja in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Dhanush, and Irandu Vaanam filmed by Ram Kumar in which she will be performing alongside actor Vishnu Vishal.
