Actor Pradeep Ranganathan had a release recently in the romantic comedy drama Dude directed by Keerthiswaran with actress Mamitha Baiju in the female lead role. The Dragon star is now gearing up for the release of his next movie christened Love Insurance Kompany. Director Vignesh Shivan has written and crafted the entertainer.
Actress Krithi Shetty of The Warriorr fame, and Gouri G Kishan of 96 fame have played the female lead roles in the film. Love Insurance Kompany was shot across multiple locations in Coimbatore, Velliangiri Mountains, Udumalaipettai, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Love Insurance Kompany was originally scheduled to be released on 18th of September this year. But due to reasons best known to the makers it got pushed. It was later announced that it will hit theaters as a festive release on 17 of October for Deepavali. Even this time it got delayed to prevent a box office clash with Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude. The makers then publicized 18th of December as the new release date.
We now have news that the project might not release on 18th December. It is also rumored that the production team is targeting to somehow bring the film to theaters as a valentine’s day release on 24th of February next year.
Love Insurance Kompany is said to be a science fiction romantic comedy film set to take place in the 2040s. Initially, actor Sivakarthikeyan was supposed to play the lead part in the entertainer which was supposed to be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Due to budget restraints the project did not take off. In 2023, the venture was revived by Seven Screen Studio who announced actor Pradeep Ranganathan as the lead.
The project ran into trouble for its original title LIC. Director S S Kumaran claimed to have copyrighted the title, and life insurance corporation of India raised alarm over the title. Swiftly, the production team announced a new title ‘Love Insurance Kompany’ and put an end to all issues.
Apart from Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and Gouri G Kishan, the star cast of Love Insurance Kompany also has actors S J Suryah, Yogi Babu, Malavika, Anandaraj, Sunil Reddy, Mysskin, Shah Ra, Edin Rose, Seeman, and Muhammad Rasool portraying various supporting roles.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has taken care of the musical division of the flick. Two singles ‘Dheema’ in the lyrics of Vignesh Shivan sung by Anirudh Ravichander, and ‘Pattuma’ written by Vignesh Shivan in the vocals of Anirudh Ravichander & Anantha Krrishnan are already out from the album.
Cinematographers Sathyan Sooryan and Ravi Varman have handled camera gears for the entertainer. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the drama. Art director Selva Kumar has fashioned the background for the flick. Action master Vicky has designed action moves for the movie.
Love Insurance Kompany is funded by S S Lalit Kumar, L K Vishnu Kumar, and Srimaan Ramachandra Raja under the banner house Seven Screen Studio in association with actress and wife of Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara for the production house Rowdy Pictures. The venture is made with a budget of 60 crore.
On the work front, actor Pradeep Ranganathan will soon begin to headline and direct an untitled flick under the production of AGS Entertainment. On the other hand, actress Krithi Shetty is eagerly anticipating the release of Vaa Vaathiyaar directed by story teller Nalan Kumarasamy in which she has romanced actor Karthi, and Genie crafted by director Arjunan Jr in which she will be seen alongside actors Jayam Ravi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
