Actor Nivin Pauly made his debut in Kollywood with Neram which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Alphonse Puthren. The movie had a good response from the audience, and turned out to be a memorable one for him. But it was his coming of age Malayalam romance drama Premam helmed by Alphonse Puthren that won the hearts of millions and created a fan base for him in the state. The actor who was last seen in Tamil in Richie directed by Gautham Ramachandran back in 2017 is returning to Tamil cinema once again with his Tamil Malayalam bilingual flick which is directed by filmmaker Ram of Taramani fame. The project went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony in Dhanushkodi in Rameshwaram and was wrapped in A R R Film City in Gummidipoondi.
Recently actor Nivin Pauly and director Ram celebrated their birthday. The production team used the special occasion to announce the title of the flick on social media. The entertainer is christened Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Producer Suresh Kamatchi himself has made the announcement. Taking to his official twitter handle, he shared the title teaser video, and wrote, “Wishing Nivin Pauly & director Ram a Happy Bday! The animated title teaser gives us a glimpse of a love story that seems to involve a great battle. It ends with Nivin Pauly’s character saying, “Not just your heart, when in love, your soul, body, and everything will fly.” The short video hints at an intense love story in the making. It is said that actor Nivin Pauly will be playing a tribal man in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Film maker Ram’s last directorial Peranbu with actor Mammootty in the lead enjoyed a good reception among the cinephiles. It garnered critical acclamations from the critics and audience alike. So, the expectation on this project is quite high. It is said that the production house is in plans to release the flick for the Christmas holidays.
Apart from actors Nivin Pauly and Anjali, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai has actor Soori essaying a vital role. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja will be handling the musical instruments for the drama. Cinematographer N K Ekhambharam has cranked the camera for the flick. The editing division of the flick has been handed over to Mathi S. Master Stunt Silva has choreographed the action sequences of the project. The venture is funded by producer Suresh Kamatchi under the production house V House Productions.
On the work front, actor Nivin Pauly who was last seen on screens in the Malayalam entertainer Mahaveeryar is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project titled Saturday Night under the direction of story teller Rosshan Andrrews. Apart from this venture, the actor has Thuramukham helmed by Rajeev Ravi, and Padavettu directed by Liju Krishna in various stages of post-production getting shaped for release. On the other hand, actor Soori who was last seen on screens in the action film Viruman will soon begin to shoot for an untitled web series which is set to be helmed by Vikram Sugumaran. He is set to play the lead role in the series. Apart from this venture, the actor has Viduthalai directed by auteur Vetrimaaran in which he has shared the screen space with actor Vijay Sethupathi in the post production getting fine-tuned for release.
