Glimpse Video Of Vikram Prabhu’s City Of Gold Is Here!
Actor Vikram Prabhu lastly entertained audiences in the crime thriller film Sirai crafted by Suresh Rajakumari with actors Anishma Anilkumar and L K Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. The Love Marriage actor is now busy shooting for his upcoming action thriller movie titled City Of Gold. Newbie story teller Siddharth is set to make his debut as a director in Tamil cinema with the entertainer.
Actress Shivathmika Rajashekar of Nitham Oru Vaanam fame will be seen in the female lead role in the project. Malayalam actress Amala Shaji will be making her debut in Kollywood with a prominent role in the movie. The production house is eyeing to bring the drama to theaters in the month of December. An official release date for the film is expected to be revealed shortly. Meanwhile, the makers have now released a glimpse video from the entertainer on social media.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Vikram Prabhu himself shared a special poster along with a link to the glimpse video of City Of Gold and captioned it, “The golden wave has hit the city. Presenting the title glimpse of City Of Gold. Raahul, Romeo Pictures, U1 Records, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Siddharth, Shivathmika Rajashekar, Amala Shaji, GM Sundar, Vasundhara, Karthick Sharaj, Arul Moses A, Hari Haran P S, Dinesh Kasi, Renganaath Ravee.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The two minutes odd glimpse video of City Of Gold begins with a cop briefing his chief, “There is no way things could happen the way people say. My source is dependable, sir. The gold will definitely arrive in Coimbatore. Sir, is this cinema, to transport gold worth crores interstate by lorry?” Then we have a news bulletin, “Gold prices have shot up 10 % per sovereign.” Then we have a character saying, “There is no such thing as ‘impossible’ in the bazaar, sir. People here are a little stubborn.”
Subsequently, we have a voiceover, “If people see Thavadakal in this bazaar, everyone will be saluting us tomorrow. Live long with prosperity.” Then, we have a montage of actor Vikram Prabhu performing gravity defying action sequences. The glimpse video ends with actor Vikram Prabhu mouthing, “Would you believe me if I said that a gram of gold that you possess today, would have claimed at least a life before it reached your hand? That is your gold. That is the world. This story is based on that.”
City Of Gold is touted to be a gripping crime thriller that explores the dark world of gold smuggling and the syndicates that control it. Apart from Vikram Prabhu, Shivathmika Rajashekar and Amala Shaji, the casting team of City Of Gold also has actors Raahul, GM Sundar, Vasundhara, and Sunil Sukhada in various supporting roles. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has been trusted with the musical department of the movie.
Cinematographer Karthick Sharaj is overseeing the cinematography division of the flick. Editor Arul Moses A has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director Hari Haran P S is designing sets for the project. Action director Dinesh Kasi is choreographing action moves in the venture. City Of Gold is backed by Raahul himself along with Javid under the production company Romeo Pictures.
On the work front, actor Vikram Prabhu is currently busy with his next untitled entertainer scripted by Ramesh Ravichandran in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Eesha Rebba, Rathamum Sadhaiyum created by story teller Harendhar Balachandar, and Pagaiye Kathiru filmed by Manivel in which he will be teaming up with actresses Smruthi Venkat & Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
On the other hand, actress Shivathmika Rajashekar is staring at successive releases in Telugu cinema via VISA – Vintara Saradaga directed by Udbhav in which she will be seen alongside actors Ashok Galla & Sri Gouri Priya, and ENE Repeat created by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam in which she has joined forces with actors Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam, & Venkatesh Kakumanu.
