‘Oli Vattam’ Video Song From Soori’s Mandaadi Is A Pulsating Number!
Actor Soori lastly entertained audiences in the action-comedy film Maaman directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead. The Garudan actor is now gearing up for his next outing in the sports action thriller flick christened Mandaadi. Director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, who garnered the attention of audience in his debut directorial film Selfie, has helmed the entertainer. He has co-written the script of the drama with writers Ameer Jamal Khan, R Mohana Vasanthan, and Thiral Sankar.
Writer Ameer Jamal Khan has helped write the entertainer’s dialogue. Actress Mahima Nambiar of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame has starred as the female lead in the movie. The project was extensively shot in Thondi Beach in Ramanathapuram, and in a few coastal zones of Tamil Nadu. Mandaadi is slated to release in cinemas worldwide on 10th of September. The makers recently released a teaser and a couple of singles from the album. They have now dropped a video song from the venture on social media.

Singer Vedan has lent his voice for the song. He has also penned the lyrics of the track with lyricist Ritual. The number is mixed and mastered by Jehovahson Alghar. Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has scored music for the flick. Already two soundtracks ‘Madaadi Madaadi’ in the vocals of Ra Vaaheesan & V M Mahalingam lyrics inked by Ra Vaaheesan, and ‘Usure Needhan Pulla’ sung by Kapil Kapilan & Sanjana Kalmanje in the lyrics of Jayashree Mathimaran, is out from the album.
The teaser of Mandaadi, which was released earlier, showed a high stakes sailing regatta framed by actor Sathyaraj’s philosophical voiceover about competition and sportsmanship, contrasted with a sleek, action-packed introduction of Soori. The ensemble cast of the movie also includes actors Suhas, Bala Saravanan, Ravindra Vijay, B Krithika, Mithun Jai Sankar, Stun Siva, Krish Hassan, Achyuth Kumar, Rajesh Gopishetty, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Sachana Namidass, Sathyaraj, Phathmen, Rajapandi, and Ramachandran.
Cinematographer S R Kathir has cranked the camera for the drama. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been roped in to trim the flick. Art director S J Ram has engineered the background for the film. Stunt directors Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan, and Mahesh Mathew have designed action blocks in the movie. Mandaadi is funded by Elred Kumar along with V Manikandan under the production company RS Infotainment. The film’s post theatrical streaming rights have been sold to Netflix OTT platform.
On the work front, actor Soori will soon have his next release in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai directed by Ram in which he has worked with actors Nivin Pauly & Anjali. The Viduthalai actor is currently busy with his next untitled drama crafted by R Ravikumar, Iraivan Miga Periyavan helmed by Ameer Sultan in which he will be teaming up with actors Mirnaa & Karu Pazhaniappan, and Maattram created by Anjathe Sridhar in which he will be associating with actors Appukutty & Saalai Ravi.
On the other hand, actress Mahima Nambiar is awaiting her next Tamil release in Bell Bottom filmed by Sathyasiva in which she has performed alongside actor Krishna, and a Telugu release in Comrade Kalyan directed by Janakiram Marella in which she has costarred with actor Sree Vishnu. The Saattai actress is now occupied in her future untitled Tamil flick crafted by Pa Vijay in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Prabhu Deva.
